Provided are an image capturing device for capturing an image in a target area, transmission parts through which an outside can be visually observed from inside of the target area and polarizing filters on an light path from the transmission parts to the image capturing device. The front- and depth-side polarizing filters relative to the image capturing device are arranged so as to have polarizing directions crossing each other. A foreign matter in the target area is detected on the basis of the image acquired by the image capturing device.

Foreign matter detection system

A resin material is injection-molded using an injection mold in which a resin flow channel is designed so that a plurality of gates are provided along a longitudinal direction at a position corresponding to an inner circumferential surface of a spacer, to obtain a molded product, the spacer having a shape that a plurality of arc-shaped circumferential surfaces are linked through a constricted part. The molded product is cooled in a state in which a runner that is connected to the gates is allowed to remain, and the runner is cut off thereafter. A water jacket spacer is produced by injection molding while achieving excellent moldability, the water jacket spacer being disposed in a water jacket, and controlling the flow of a coolant, the water jacket spacer including a plurality of segments, or having a shape that the water jacket spacer can be partially inserted into the water jacket.

Water jacket spacer production method

A spacer () is injection molded by using an injection molding die having resin flow channels that are designed such that a plurality of gates () are arranged along the longitudinal direction at a position corresponding to the outer peripheral surface of a side wall part () in which a plurality of arc-like peripheral surface parts () are connected through a waist part (). After opening the mold and ejecting the spacer, the spacer is cooled with a runner () being connected to the gate (), and thereafter, the runner () is cut off. As a result, when producing a water jacket spacer that is assembled to the inside of the water jacket and controls the flow of cooling water by injection molding, while producing with a high productivity without being affected by design constraints caused by draft angle, deformation in the post-molding cooling step is prevented.

Method for producing water jacket spacer

A steel wire rod includes, in terms of mass %, 0.95-1.10% C, 0.10-0.70% Si, 0.20-1.20% Mn, 0.90-1.60% Cr, 0-0.25% Mo, 0-25 ppm B, 0-0.020% P, 0-0.020% S, 0-0.0010% O, 0-0.030% N, and 0.010-0.100% Al. In a surface area of the steel wire rod, the Vickers hardness is HV 300 to HV 420, the area ratio of pearlite is 80% or more, and the area ratio of pro-eutectoid cementite is 2.0% or less. In an inner area of the steel wire rod, the area ratio of pearlite is 90% or more, and the area ratio of pro-eutectoid cementite is 5.0% or less. In the steel wire rod, the area ratio of pearlite blocks having an equivalent circle diameter of more than 40 &#x3bc;m is 0.62% or less, and the difference in Vickers hardness between the surface area and a center portion is HV 20.0 or less.
