According to one embodiment, an image processing apparatus includes a level storage module, an instruction receiving module, a switching module, and a resolution increasing module. The level storage module stores a super-resolution level in association with a video mode that indicates definition to display a video signal. The super-resolution level indicates intensity of super-resolution conversion, in which from a video signal having first resolution, a video signal is obtained that has second resolution higher than the first resolution. The instruction receiving module receives an instruction specifying a video mode. The switching module switches a video mode to the specified video mode. The resolution increasing module performs the super-resolution conversion at a super-resolution level corresponding to the specified video mode.

According to one embodiment, an image processing apparatus includes a level storage module, a video determination module, and a resolution increasing module. The level storage module stores a super-resolution level in association with a video mode. The super-resolution level indicates intensity of super resolution conversion, in which from a first video signal having first resolution, a second video signal is obtained that has second resolution higher than the first resolution and that is to be displayed in the video mode. The video determination module identifies a video mode and determines a super-resolution level based on the video mode identified. The resolution increasing module performs the super resolution conversion on the first video signal at the super-resolution level determined by the video determination module.

According to one embodiment, an image processor comprises an image converter and a controller. The image converter is configured to convert a first video signal of a first resolution to a second video signal of a second resolution higher than the first resolution. The conversion is based on a parameter indicating a ratio of high-frequency component pixels of the first video signal to be interpolated and pixels forming the first video signal to be interpolated. The controller is configured to change the parameter based on a type of broadcast wave of the first video signal. The type of broadcast wave may include, but is not limited or restricted to satellite broadcasting or terrestrial broadcasting.

A processor system includes a plurality of first processors, a temperature sensor, a main memory, and a second processor. The first processors individually process tasks. The temperature sensor measures a temperature of each of the first processors. The main memory stores programs of the tasks processed by the first processors, and a task priority order table containing a relationship between the tasks and task priority numbers. The second processor assigns the tasks to the first processors on the basis of the task priority order table and the temperatures of the first processors measured by the temperature sensor.
