Provided are: a display panel whereby a frame can be narrowed, while ensuring conduction between substrates; a display device; and a method for manufacturing the display panel. The display panel is provided with: a first substrate having a surface, on which an electrode layer is formed; a second substrate having a surface, on which a wiring path for supplying the electrode layer with signals is formed; and a sealing section that defines a space sealed between the first substrate surface and the second substrate surface, which are facing each other. The display panel is also provided with a columnar section that electrically connects the electrode layer to the wiring path. The columnar section is formed at a position in contact with the sealing section.

A manufacturing method for a liquid crystal display apparatus according to an embodiment of the present invention includes a step (A) of preparing a first substrate including a pixel electrode and a first photoalignment film that has not been subjected to an alignment treatment, and a step (B) of exposing a region of the first photoalignment film which is to serve as a first alignment region through a plurality of first photomasks, while transporting the prepared first substrate in a predetermined transport direction, the plurality of first photomasks including two or more first photomasks arranged in a second direction intersecting the transport direction. Each first photomask includes a plurality of pairs of a light-transmitting portion and a light-blocking portion. Each first photomask is designed so that in the step (B), on a side closer to one end of the first photomask, a boundary between the light-transmitting portion and the light-blocking portion is offset from a domain boundary toward the one end, and on a side closer to the other end of the first photomask, the boundary between the light-transmitting portion and the light-blocking portion is offset from the domain boundary toward the other end.

Provided is a liquid crystal display apparatus such that a liquid material for an alignment film can be prevented from entering a region for forming a sealing member so that the peeling of the sealing member caused by the deterioration of adhesion between the sealing member and a substrate can be prevented and a narrow frame can be attained. A display panel includes a rectangular-shaped TFT substrate and CF substrate bonded together with a sealing member formed at a periphery thereof, a liquid crystal layer provided at a region surrounded by the sealing member between the two substrates to form a display region, and an groove and protrusion part provided between the display region and the sealing member having a groove formed along a circumferential direction in a region between the display region and the sealing member, the groove and protrusion part having wave-like shape in a plan view.

A drive transmission mechanism includes a drive transmission gear, an output-side coupling, and a first drive transmission member. The drive transmission gear includes a cylindrical boss formed at the rotation center, a circular rim concentric with the boss, and a web coupling the boss with the rim. The output-side coupling outputs a driving force of the drive transmission gear to a driven member. The first drive transmission member has higher rigidity than the drive transmission gear, and transmits the driving force of the drive transmission gear to the output-side coupling by rotating together with the drive transmission gear. The output-side coupling incline in an arbitrary direction relative to the rotation axis of the first drive transmission member, and the driving force from the drive transmission gear is transmitted to the outer circumferential rim of the first drive transmission member.

Charging device and image forming apparatus

A developing device includes: a developing roller; a toner supplying roller; a regulation blade; a casing; a film member; a bias member; and a protrusion. The casing includes an inner wall portion which opposes the developing roller between the blade roller and the image carrier. The film member is flexible, disposed to oppose an upper surface of the inner wall portion over a predetermined gap and vibratile in a direction to approach or leave the inner wall portion. The bias member is connected to at least one end in a longitudinal direction of the film member and gives tension to the film member. The protrusion is disposed on a gear composing a group of drive gears of the developing roller or the toner supplying roller and intermittently contacts an end edge of the film member thanks to rotation of the gear to vibrate the film member.

An embodiment of a developing device may include a housing, magnetic developer, and a developer bearing member. In some embodiments, the developer bearing member may include a magnet member. The magnet member may allow the developer to remain in the housing. A developer regulating member may be positioned proximate the developer bearing member and have one or more cut portions. In some embodiments, the cut portions may be positioned at each end of the developer regulating member in a surface facing the developer bearing member. The developer regulating member may regulate an amount of the developer held on the developer bearing member. A magnetic sealing member may extend along an outer peripheral surface of the developer bearing member at each end and may be positioned proximate the cut portion. In some embodiments, a portion of the magnetic sealing member may be positioned within the cut portion.

An image forming apparatus includes an image forming unit, a sheet conveyor and a main body that houses the image forming unit and the sheet conveyor. An operating unit is mounted to a front cover that can move between a closed position to cover an anterior side of the main body and an open position to expose a part of the main body. A retention mechanism retains the front cover at the closed position. The retention mechanism has a lock and a release. The lock is supported by one of the apparatus main body and the front cover and is selectively engageable with and detachable from the other. The release releases engagement of the lock, and is installed posterior to the operating unit in a region facing a back surface as viewed from an opening and closing direction of the front cover.

Image forming apparatus with a front cover having a release member disposed to avoid incorrect operation

The object is to provide an image forming apparatus in which the copy sheet can be transferred with stable velocity and high accuracy even if there is variation in diameter due to machining tolerance. A pair of roller for feeding copy sheet pinching the sheet between the rollers consists of a rigid roller and an elastic roller which is pressed against the rigid roller, and both the rollers are connected by means of a driving mechanism so that the peripheral velocity of both the rollers are essentially equal. The diameter of said elastic roller is determined in the range between the first diameter with which the peripheral velocity of said elastic roller at the depressed part depressed due to the pressing of the elastic roller against the rigid roller without the copy sheet between the rollers coincides with the peripheral velocity of said rigid roller and the second diameter with which the peripheral velocity of the rigid roller assumed to have a diameter increased by the thickness of the copy sheet (rigid roller with increase diameter) coincides with the peripheral velocity of the elastic roller at the depressed part depressed due to the pressing of the elastic roller against said rigid roller with increased diameter without the copy sheet between the rollers.
