A passability test device for a medical elongated body includes a main body portion that is provided with hole portions into which a balloon catheter or other medical elongated body is insertable; and at least one obstacle portion that inhibits the balloon catheter inserted into the hole portion from passing under a load (F) having a known magnitude. The obstacle portion is provided with a movable portion which projects into the hole portion in a retractable manner relative to the hole portion and with which the balloon catheter comes into contact, and a load portion that applies, to the movable portion, a load acting in a direction in which the movable portion is caused to project into the hole portion.

A treatment instrument for medical use includes a tubular insertion portion that includes a curvable flexible part, the tubular insertion portion being insertable into a body of a patient; and a dilating body that is provided at an outer circumference of the flexible part, the dilating body being configured to dilate in a radial direction relative to the flexible part. The tubular insertion portion includes a reduced-diameter part that is provided at a distal end of the tubular insertion portion in an axial direction, the reduced-diameter part having an outer diameter that is smaller than an outer diameter of the tubular insertion portion at a location proximal of the reduced-diameter part. A distal part of the dilating body is fixed to at least the reduced-diameter part.

Treatment instrument for medical use

Exemplary embodiments of the present disclosure can provide a catheter which can include a removal mechanism which can excavate a tubular-organ occluding object. For example, the exemplary catheter can include: a sheath portion which can have a elongated lumen insertable into a tubular-organ. The catheter can further include an insertion member which can have a second elongated lumen which can be arranged free, slidably, and rotatably with respect to the lumen of the sheath portion. The catheter can also include a removal mechanism configured to remove a occluding object of the tubular-organ. The removal mechanism can include a support portion arranged at a distal portion of the insertion member and a plurality of rotating arrangements having at least one blade edge configured to excavate the occluding object. The support portion can have an axis of rotation that intersects an axis of extension of the insertion member.

A stent delivery system includes a distal-side tube having a guide wire lumen, a proximal-side tube, a fixing tube at which a proximal portion of the distal-side tube and a distal portion of the proximal-side tube are fixed and which has an opening communicating with the guide wire lumen, a stent accommodation tubular member which encloses a distal side of the distal-side tube and is slidable toward a proximal end of the distal-side tube, a stent accommodated inside the stent accommodation tubular member, and a pulling wire whose one end portion is fixed to the stent accommodation tubular member and which extends inside the proximal-side tube for moving the stent accommodation tubular member toward a proximal side by being pulled toward the proximal side.

A catheter includes a distal shaft, and a proximal shaft having its distal portion inserted and fixed in the distal shaft. The distal shaft includes a guide wire lumen, and a distal shaft lumen, with the distal shaft lumen communicating with a proximal shaft lumen. The proximal shaft includes a main body portion, a distal portion smaller in size than the main body portion and entering into the distal shaft lumen, and a proximal shaft inclined portion located between the main body portion and the distal portion. The distal shaft lumen has a lumen change portion reduced in lumen cross-section toward the distal side. The proximal shaft inclined portion and the lumen change portion abut on each other.

A blood vessel dilatation apparatus includes an inner tube having a lumen; an outer tube forming a lumen between the outer tube and an outer surface of the inner tube; a dilatation member; a first opening provided at a rear end portion of the inner tube and communicating with the lumen; a second opening provided at a rear end portion of the outer tube and communicating with the lumen. The outer tube includes a front-side tube and a rear-side tube fixed to the front-side tube. The front-side tube has a diameter changing portion whose outer and inner diameters decrease toward its front end. A front portion of the rear-side tube is connected with an inner surface of a rear end portion of the front-side tube. An inner surface of the front portion of the rear-side tube is connected with the inner tube.
