A cell accommodating chip is adapted for use in a screening apparatus for searching for a predetermined cell based on optical information emitted from a substance on the cell accommodating chip and selectively collecting the cell searched for. The cell accommodating chip includes a substrate composed of a light-transmitting material, and a plurality of wells capable of accommodating cells, the plurality of wells being provided on at least one of main faces of the substrate. A surface of the cell accommodating chip having the plurality of wells is coated with a specific polymer having a crosslinked structure.

Cell accommodating chip

The disclosed technology is directed to a treatment system comprises a power supply apparatus and a treatment instrument configured to communicate electrically with the power supply apparatus so as to perform a treatment on a biological tissue. The treatment instrument includes an end effector that transmits a high-frequency current delivered by a first electrical energy to the biological tissue. An electric element is configured to operate the end effector by being actuated using second electric energy. The power supply apparatus includes a processor configured to receive a stop command to cutoff the supply of the first electric energy and the second electric energy in a state in which the first electric energy and the second electric energy are supplied and determine whether or not the end effector is in contact with the biological tissue based on a parameter related to the first electric energy after receiving the stop command.

A treatment device includes a vibrator capable of ultrasonically vibrating, a front mass portion having a first resonance frequency and connected to the vibrator in a manner capable of transmitting ultrasonic vibration, a treatment probe configured to treat a subject and having a second resonance frequency that is higher than the first resonance frequency of the front mass portion, and a connection portion connecting a distal end surface of the front mass portion and a proximal end surface of the treatment probe by a pressing force, and serving as an antinode position when vibrating at the first resonance frequency.

Surgical treatment apparatus

A screening apparatus includes a light permeable measurement chip having a well retaining a liquid including microparticles, a measuring section acquiring optical information of the microparticles obtained by illuminating the microparticles, an analyzing section that extracts optical information of the microparticles, a receiving plate receiving a microparticle selectively picked up from the measurement chip, a moving section moving the measurement chip and the receiving plate against the measuring section, and a collecting section for collecting a microparticle by sucking with the suction-ejection capillary and ejecting on the receiving plate. A distal-end outer dimension of the capillary is greater than a width of the well. The capillary sucks the target microparticle at a position where the distal end of the capillary and the measurement chip are spaced by a predetermined distance and a central axis of the distal end of the capillary and a central axis of the well are mutually displaced.

A treatment system includes a pair of holding members, a high-frequency energy output section, a heat generating section and a control section. At least one of the pair of holding members moves to the other holding member. The high-frequency energy output section and the heat generating section are provided on at least one of the holding members. The high-frequency energy output section exerts high-frequency energy to a living tissue to denature the living tissue, and collects the biological information of the living tissue. The heat generating section applies heat to it held between the holding members, generates the heat owing to the supply of the energy, and conducts the heat therefrom to denature the living tissue. The control section controls the output of the energy to the high-frequency energy output section and the heat generating section based on the biological information collected by the high-frequency energy output section.

A medical apparatus includes a treatment device configured to be capable of treating a subject by applying energy to the subject, an optical fiber including a light emitting face for emitting light into the subject, the optical fiber being connected to the treatment device, and a shield portion that is disposed in front of the light emitting face of the optical fiber, the shield portion being configured to expose the light emitting face when the treatment device does not perform a treatment operation and to shield the light emitting face when the treatment device performs the treatment operation.

In an ultrasonic treatment instrument, a vibration generation section is connected to a probe from a proximal direction side in an inside of a case by coupling a drive assembly integrally and detachably to a handle assembly. An opposite extended portion is extended from the case in a state where the opposite extended portion is opposed to the movable handle on the proximal direction side with respect to the movable handle and a space between the opposite extended portion and the movable handle can be opened and closed, when the drive assembly is coupled to the handle assembly. A battery is located in the opposite extended portion, when the drive assembly is coupled to the handle assembly.

A sample identification/sorting apparatus includes a sample storage portion that stores samples dispersed in a liquid, a flow cell having a flow path through which the liquid flows, and a sorting nozzle that has a flow path communicating with the flow path of the flow cell and dispenses a sorting solution including the sample, which is a target sample, to a culture plate. A difference between a flow direction of the liquid at an outlet of the sample storage portion and a flow direction of the liquid at a leading end of the sorting nozzle is less than 90 degrees.

A photodetector detects fluorescence emitted from a sample placed on a substrate of a DNA chip. There is an irradiation optical system for guiding irradiation light by a first optical waveguide, gathering the irradiation light by a first lens and irradiating the sample. A reception optical system gathers fluorescence at an input-side end surface of a second optical waveguide by a second lens and guides the fluorescence to a measuring unit. The irradiation optical system and the reception optical system are separate light guiding paths. The reception optical system is of a confocal optical system in which a focal point on the sample is identical to a focal point at the input-side end surface of the second optical waveguide of the reception optical system.
