A sealing device includes a reinforcement ring and an annular elastic body portion including a main body covering the reinforcement ring, a lip waist portion including an inner circumferential edge portion of the main body, a main lip extending from the lip waist portion to a first target side to be sealed and is to be in slidable contact with a rotary shaft, and a second dust lip extending from the lip waist portion to a second target side opposite to the first target side relative to the sealing device and being provided relative to the main lip with an annular space between the second dust lip and the main lip. The second dust lip includes a first lip slide portion being to be in slidable contact with the rotary shaft, a first protrusion formed on an inner circumferential surface of the second dust lip and closer to the first lip slide portion, and a second protrusion formed on the inner circumferential surface and closer to the lip waist portion than the first protrusion.

Apparatus and method for driving backlight unit

The present invention prevents extension of the time period from powering on a device to convergence of chromaticity of emitted white light on a certain chromaticity, irrespective of the temperature when the device is powered on. A color liquid crystal display apparatus includes a liquid crystal display unit, a backlight employing LEDs of red, green and blue as its light source, a drive unit for driving the LEDs of each color, a temperature sensor for sensing the temperature of the LEDs, and a chromaticity sensor for sensing the chromaticity of white light emitted from the LEDs. The drive unit supplies a current to the LEDs to drive them, and implements feedback control of the amount of current for the LEDs of each color based on a value sensed by the chromaticity sensor so that the white light has a certain chromaticity. Even if the block is being updated by another program, a file I/O section requests a journal for the block from the journal sharing section instead of reading the block from a data file, and transfers the contents of the block in a state before it is updated by another program to the program if the block is being rolled back. Multiple wavelength semiconductor laser device array and production method

An information transmission system for transmitting signals from a transmitting side through a single transmission line to a plurality of terminal units. When the terminal units are interrupted by a command signal from the transmitting side, transmission of ordinary information signals to the terminal units is inhibited. When the terminal units are released from the interrupt mode, transmission of ordinary information signals automatically resumes, so that the ordinary information signals are reproduced from the point in time point at which they were interrupted. Normal operation of the terminal units is partially or totally inhibited during the interrupt mode.
