The difference calculation unit uses a sensor signal at a reference timing and a plurality of the sensor signals at a plurality of comparative timings shifted from the reference timing. The difference calculation unit generates a plurality of differential signals as respective differences between the sensor signal at the reference timing and the plurality of the sensor signals at the plurality of comparative timings and obtains respective magnitudes of the plurality of differential signals as a plurality of differential values. A first semiconductor layer consisting of AlGaInP is formed on a substrate consisting of GaAs by crystal growth while adding magnesium (Mg) that is a p-type dopant to the first semiconductor layer. A second semiconductor layer consisting of GaAs is then grown on the first semiconductor layer without adding any magnesium to the second semiconductor layer. Thus, the second semiconductor layer can prevent unintended doping (memory effect) produced by magnesium.

C. and a CO.sub.2 /N.sub.2 separation factor of 10 to 200 at 25.degree. C.

A waste water treatment apparatus which can discharge cleaned waste water while separating and recovering insoluble granular components such as emulsions contained in various kinds of waste waters and various kinds of industrial waste waters, while minimizing the decrease of permeation flux by an effective separation membrane washing, and a washing method of the apparatus are disclosed.
