The present disclosure relates to a hot rolling apparatus for manufacturing a metal plate by hot-rolling-treating a metal material including copper. The apparatus includes: a rough rolling device for rolling-treating the metal material, which has been heating-treated, a plurality of times with a back-and-forth movement of the metal material, to mold the metal material into a metal plate; a heat retention/application treatment device for retaining heat of or applying heat to the metal plate molded by the rough rolling device at lower temperatures than in the heating treatment, without applying bending; a finish rolling device for further rolling-treating the metal plate that has been heat-treated by the heat retention/application treatment device; a cooling device for cooling the metal plate that has been rolling-treated by the finish rolling device; and a support table for movably supporting the metal plate from below before and after the rough rolling device while the metal material is moved back and forth by the rough rolling device. According to the present disclosure, it is possible to improve the quality of the metal plate manufactured in the hot rolling apparatus, and also to improve the speed of the process required for rolling.

Hot rolling apparatus

A materialto be shaped is reduced and formed by bringing dies with convex forming surfaces, when viewed from the side of the transfer line of the material, close to the transfer line from above and below the material, in synchronism with each other, while giving the dies a swinging motion in such a manner that the portions of the forming surfaces of the dies, in contact with the material, are transferred from the upstream to the downstream side in the direction of the transfer line.

Plate reduction press apparatus and methods

A shape detecting apparatus for controlling the tension of a rolled plate, is composed of a pair of fixing members, a supporting frame and a plurality of shape detecting units. The shape detecting units are fixed detachably in a close proximity of the supporting frame in the lateral direction. The shape detecting units are each composed of cylindrical divided rolls in contact with the rolled plate, a fixed member fixed on the supporting frame, an arm member of which one end supports the divided roll rotatably, and of which the other end is fixed on the fixed member, and a load detector for detecting a moment of rotation acting on the arm member.

According to an apparatus and a method for manufacturing a hot-rolled steel plate, a roughing process for reducing a thickness of a continuously cast slab is performed to obtain a sheet bar, and a finishing rolling process for rolling the sheet bar is effected to produce a hot-rolled steel plate having a predetermined plate thickness. After cooling down, the hot-rolled steel plate is then wound. A pair of dies each of which has a tapered portion on an input side and a parallel portion on an output side are used in at least part of the roughing process. Further, before performing plate thickness pressing to a material in a plate thickness direction by using the dies , at least one of a front end and a rear end of the material is pressed in a widthwise direction to be pre-formed.

A material to be shaped is reduced and formed by bringing dies with convex forming surfaces, when viewed from the side of the transfer line of the material close to the transfer line from above and below the material in synchronism with each other, while giving the dies a swinging motion in such a manner that the portions of the forming surfaces of the dies, in contact with the material are transferred from the upstream to the downstream side in the direction of the transfer line.

A high-quality hot rolled steel sheet is manufactured with a high production efficiency and a low cost, from a long, hot slab, using a combination of continuous casting facilities and a plate reduction press machine.

Apparatus and methods for manufacturing hot rolled steel sheets

The die changing apparatus for a plate reduction press machine, comprises an upper die support holder,and a lower die support holder,that are arranged vertically on opposite sides of a transfer line, and support holder guide rails,installed on the upper die support holder and extending substantially horizontally in the lateral direction of the transfer line, and an upper die,and a lower die,are mounted on the upper and lower die support holders, respectively using the rollers onto the dies, fixing devices,that fix the upper and lower dies on the upper and lower die support holders, respectively, die fastening members,which are placed on each side of the upper and lower dies, opposite each other in such a manner that they can be fastened to both dies, and a die changing mechanism that can move one of the die fastening members in a direction perpendicular to the transfer line.

Apparatus and method for changing dies

Each of a pair of opposing slides which is equipped with a die and is connected through a connecting rod to an eccentric portion of a crankshaft is displaced by a width setting device in the direction of width of a slab so as to set the width of a slab to be forged between the pair of dies. After the setting of the width of a slab to be forged, the crankshaft is rotated to cause each of the slider-pair to reciprocate not only in the direction of width of the slab but also in the direction in parallel with the slab transportation line, whereby a slab is forged.

An apparatus for changing the rolls of a vertical rolling mill stand by moving each roll of a roll pair to the roll changing position transversely outwardly of the rolling position where the spacing between the rolls is maximum and then pulling upwardly the roll together with its upper and lower bearing boxes from a housing. The rolls may be changed even when a slab is passing.
