A medical laser apparatus for irradiating an affected tissue with a laser beam to treat the affected tissue, comprises: a laser source unit which emits an infrared beam as a fundamental wave having a spectral bandwidth; a wavelength demultiplexing optical system which spatially demultiplexes the emitted infrared beam by wavelengths; a wavelength converting optical system including a wavelength converting element disposed in correspondence with an optical path position of each of the demultiplexed infrared beams and for converting each of the infrared beams to a visible beam as a second harmonic wave; a wavelength multiplexing optical system which multiplexes the visible beams obtained by the conversion; and a delivery optical system which guides the multiplexed visible beams to the affected tissue.

Medical laser apparatus

A medical laser apparatus suitable for medical treatment, which is capable of obtaining a plurality of visible laser beams each having a different wavelength, but which has an inexpensive structure. A medical laser apparatus capable of selectively irradiating a plurality of visible laser beams each having a different wavelength onto an affected part, comprises: a fiber laser source unit including an excitation light source, a plurality of fiber lasers for oscillating, by means of excitation light from the excitation light source, a plurality of infrared fundamental beams each having a different wavelength and a first optical switch having an input portion and a plurality of output portions for selectively switching a transmission path of the excitation light from the excitation light source to one of the fiber lasers, the fiber laser source unit being capable of selectively oscillating the fundamental beams; and a plurality of wavelength conversion elements for wavelength-converting the fundamental beams, from the fiber laser source unit, to a plurality of visible second harmonic beams.

A laser treatment apparatus for performing treatment by irradiating an affected part with a laser beam comprises: a laser source capable of emitting beams of a plurality of different wavelengths; a first setting unit which sets an irradiation amount of a laser beam for treatment of a wavelength to be used for treatment; an emission amount changing unit which changes an emission amount of the beam in plural levels; an attenuating unit which attenuates the beam emitted by the laser source; and a control part which controls the emission amount changing unit and the attenuating unit based on the set irradiation amount of the treatment beam.

Laser treatment apparatus

In a laser apparatus, a rotatable reflection mirror rotatable on or parallel to a resonance optical axis of a laser medium is disposed changeably between a first and second positions by driving of a rotating unit. A first resonance optical system includes a first and second resonant mirrors placed so that the laser medium and the rotatable reflection mirror disposed in the first position are interposed therebetween to resonate light of a first peak wavelength among the peak wavelengths emitted from the laser medium, the first peak wavelength light being to be reflected by the rotatable reflection mirror in the first position between the laser medium and the second resonant mirror, and a first wavelength converting element located between the rotatable reflection mirror disposed in the first position and the second resonant mirror to oscillate second harmonic light of the first peak wavelength light as a first laser beam.

A medical laser apparatus comprises: a solid laser oscillating source which emits a beam of a wavelength &#x3bb;in an infrared region of approx. 1040 nm to approx. 1080 nm; a first fiber-based Raman shifter including a first Raman fiber which generates, when receives the &#x3bb;-beam from the laser oscillating source, a first-order Stokes beam of a wavelength &#x3bb;different from the wavelength &#x3bb;by stimulated Raman scattering, the first Raman fiber being formed with a pair of fiber Bragg gratings which forms a resonator for the &#x3bb;-beam; a first nonlinear crystal which wavelength-converts the &#x3bb;-beam outputted from the first Raman wavelength shifter to a second harmonic beam of a wavelength &#x3bb;' in an orange region of approx. 580 nm to approx. 600 nm; and a light guiding optical system which guides the &#x3bb;&#x2032;-beam to a treatment part.
