Provided is an optical measurement device capable of easily measuring a scattering intensity at different scattering angles or different wavelengths. An optical measurement device with a low-coherence interferometer includes a detection unit having at least one of a first detection unit that detects an interference light intensity per wavelength by means of interference between at least a part of scattered light obtained by allowing incident light to be incident on a dispersion liquid including particles and reference light or a second detection unit that detects an interference light intensity per scattering angle by means of interference between at least a part of the scattered light obtained by allowing the incident light to be incident on the dispersion liquid including the particles and the reference light, and a conversion unit extracts a scattering intensity at a specific depth and a specific wavelength of the dispersion liquid from data of the interference light intensity per wavelength detected by the first detection unit or a scattering intensity at a specific depth and a specific scattering angle of the dispersion liquid from data of the interference light intensity per scattering angle detected by the second detection unit and converts data of the extracted scattering intensity into time fluctuation data of the scattered light at the specific depth of the dispersion liquid.

Disclosed is a video-camera imaging-system lens barrel which overcomes the problem of a four-lens-group-type video-camera imaging-system lens barrel, which has a complicated structure and large size and weight due to the large number of lens groups. In a so-called two-group-type lens system, a first lens group 2 and a second lens group 3, which are in focus in an imaging plane (CCD 4) for each zoom magnification at fixed subject distances .alpha.m and .beta.m, are controlled such that they move along zoom tracking curves 1.sub.1, 1.sub.2, 1.sub.3 and 1.sub.4 which represent the paths of movement of the respective positions of the first lens group and the second lens group.

A focus control system for a video camera determines a first gradient indicative of a change in value of a predetermined frequency component in the video signal for first and second positions obtained from the signal of predetermined frequency component in the video signal sampled at the first lens position and at the second lens position, and determines a second gradient indicative of a change in value of the predetermined frequency component in the video signal for second and third lens positions obtained from the signal of the predetermined frequency component in the video signal sampled at the third lens position point, and the speed of longitudinal movement of the lens is controlled in accordance with changes in the first and second gradients, thereby permitting faster focusing and reducing the amount of overrun of the lens during such focusing.
