A hybrid control method controls a hybrid vehicle. A control unit sets a rotational speed threshold value at which a continuous gear tooth striking sound occurring in a gear mechanism connecting an electric power generation motor to the internal combustion engine is not a problem in terms of vehicle quality. The control unit generates negative pressure while maintaining the engine rotational speed in the firing state where the engine rotational speed is equal to or greater than the rotational speed threshold value. Also, the control unit generates negative pressure after switching from the firing state to a motoring state where the internal combustion engine is rotated by the electric power generation motor and where the engine rotational speed is less than the rotational speed threshold value.

The method comprises enforcing a first level of a QoS to a connection between the terminal and the network, receiving a user-requested, second level of the QoS from the terminal, identifying a currently-available level of the QoS on the network, determining a third level of the QoS based at least in part on the currently-available level of the QoS on the network and the second level of the QoS, and enforcing the third level of the QoS. Methods and system are provided for enabling users at the terminals to specify online a level of network QoS, and the system dynamically changes the quality level and the plan to satisfy the request.

A fuel cell system can be initiated in shorter time while minimizing the deterioration of a fuel cell. The fuel cell system includes a fuel cell stack having a fuel electrode, an oxidizer electrode and an electrolyte membrane disposed there between, the fuel cell producing electricity by an electrochemical reaction of a fuel gas and an oxidizer gas, which are supplied to the fuel electrode and the oxidizer electrode, respectively; a fuel gas supplying device for supplying the fuel gas to the fuel cell stack; an oxidizer gas supplying device for supplying the oxidizer gas to the fuel cell stack; a current controlling device for extracting a current from the fuel cell stack; and a voltage sensor disposed in at least two of the fuel cell stacks. A controller controls the current controlling device such that a minimum voltage, which is obtained from the voltage sensor after a fuel gas is supplied to the fuel electrode without supplying the oxidizer gas to the oxidizer electrode at the time of initiating, becomes zero volts or more. Then, the oxidizer gas is supplied to the oxidizer to start producing electricity.

A fuel cell system has a purge valve that adjusts the amount of nitrogen in a hydrogen circulation channel and a fuel electrode to be discharged through a discharge channel. A purge rate correcting unit variably sets a target control value of the nitrogen content in the hydrogen circulation channel and the fuel electrode by taking into account whether a driving mode is set in a normal power generation mode or an idle mode. An opening of the purge valve is controlled on the basis of the target control value.
