In an ejector-type refrigeration cycle device provided with a first compression mechanism and a second compression mechanism, a refrigerant outlet of a suction side evaporator is coupled to a refrigerant suction port of the ejector, and a second compression mechanism is provided between the suction side evaporator and the refrigerant suction port of the ejector. Thus, even in an operation condition in which suction capacity of the ejector is decreased in accordance with a decrease of the flow amount of a drive flow of the ejector, the suction capacity of the ejector can be supplemented by the operation of the second compression mechanism. Accordingly, even when a variation in the flow amount of the drive flow is caused, the ejector-type refrigeration cycle device can be stably operated.

Ejector-type refrigeration cycle device

An accumulator is disposed in a refrigerant circuit at a position on the suction side of a compressor, separates the gas and liquid phases of the refrigerant, and contains the liquid refrigerant. The accumulator comprises: a pressure container () having an inner space (S) formed therein; a refrigerant inlet opening () provided in the pressure container; a refrigerant outlet opening (); a conduction pipe () for conducting a refrigerant within the pressure container to the outlet opening; and a gas-liquid separation means () provided with a separation plate () provided within the pressure container so as to face the inlet opening and so as to expand substantially perpendicularly to the direction of the line of flow at the inlet opening. The gas-liquid separation means has, in the region of the separation plate which faces the inlet opening, a mountain-shaped protrusion () having a crest () and a sloped surface (), the crest () protruding toward the inlet opening.

Accumulator

An expansion valve to expand high-pressure refrigerant and send the expanded refrigerant toward an evaporator is used in a refrigeration cycle, and includes a body portion, an element portion, and a valve portion. The body portion has a first passage through which the high-pressure refrigerant passes, a throttle passage located in the first passage so as to expand refrigerant, and a second passage through which refrigerant flowing out of the evaporator passes. The element portion arranged outside of the body portion has a pressure responding member to be displaced in accordance with a difference between an inner pressure of a seal space and a pressure of refrigerant flowing through the second passage. Temperature sensing media is filled in the seal space, and a pressure of the media is changed by temperature. The valve portion is displaced in accordance with the pressure responding member so as to control an opening of the throttle passage. Additive is filled in the seal space with the media so as to lower a condensing temperature of the media.

Expansion valve and method of producing the same

A hot water supply system wherein a flow of a refrigerant on a high-pressure side of a supercritical heat pump cycle and a flow of hot water are oppositely directed, and wherein water heated by the refrigerant on the high-pressure side is stored in heat insulating tanks of a vacuous and double structure. Water is heated with heat absorbed from the atmosphere and by the supercritical heat pump cycle having a high heat exchange efficiency &eegr;, to reduce the power required to heat the water. Therefore, hot water can be generated even in the daytime during peak power rates. Accordingly, because it is unnecessary to store hot water for daytime use in insulated tanks, system space requirements are reduced.

Hot water supply system

The evaporator and the condenser are disposed in a duct. First bypass passage is disposed at the side of the condenser and first air mixing damper rotates to control air bypassing amount. Further second bypass passage is formed at the side of the evaporator and second mixing damper rotates to control air bypassing amount. Cooling rate at the evaporator and heating rate at the condenser are varied so that air adjusted in proper temperature is generated and discharged from each outlets into a room. An outside heat exchanger is disposed the outside of the duct. Refrigerant flow is randomly switched among the outside heat exchanger, the evaporator and the condenser so that cooling, heating, dehumidifying, dehumidified-heating and defrosting operations are performed.

An automotive air conditioner which conditions air making use of radiation of heat of a condenser and absorption of heat of an evaporator effectively. The evaporator 207 and the condenser 203 are disposed in a duct 100. A bypass passageway 150 is provided sidewardly of the condenser 203 in the duct 100, and a flow rate of air bypassing the condenser 203 is controlled by pivotal motion of an air mixing damper 154. Another bypass passage is provided sidewardly of the evaporator 207 in the duct 100, and a flow rate of air bypassing the evaporator 207 is controlled by pivotal motion of a bypass damper 159. Air is conditioned to an optimum blown out air temperature by varying the cooling rate at the evaporator 207 and the heating rate at the condenser 203 and is blown out to a room of an automobile from spit holes 141, 142 and 143. An outside heat exchanger is provided outside the duct 100, and a flow of refrigerant is changed over suitably among the outside heat exchanger 202, the evaporator 207 and the condenser 203 to perform cooling operation, heating operation, dehumidifying operation, dehumidifying heating operation and defrosting operation.

A differential in refrigerant adsorption rates of adsorbent during an adsorption process and during a desorption process is enlarged, realizing improvement in refrigeration capacity, and together therewith, the number of circulation systems for coolant fluid is reduced and the number of pumps is made smaller. A heat exchanger of a first stage evaporator and a cooler for air conditioning use are connected in series, and coolant fluid cooled by this heat exchanger is supplied to the cooler for air conditioning use. Additionally, a heat exchanger of a second stage evaporator and a radiator are connected in series, coolant fluid cooled by the radiator is further cooled by the heat exchanger, and this coolant fluid is alternately supplied to heat exchanging passages of first first stage and second stage adsorption devices and to heat exchanging passages of second first stage and second stage adsorption devices.

Adsorptive-type refrigeration apparatus

A thermal expansion valve for automotive coolant systems which is significantly more compact than previously developed expansion values. The housing of the expansion valve is divided into a first housing formed in a cylindrical shape with a bottom and a second housing formed in a columnar shape. The first housing is fit into the second housing, and both are integrally connected to each other. A temperature sensing mechanism having a temperature sensing chamber and an expansion mechanism for adjusting an opening degree of a throttle passage in accordance with an evaporator outlet temperature sensed by the temperature sensing means are disposed in the second housing. First and fourth joint portions connected to inlet and outlet refrigerant pipes of the evaporator, respectively, are at the bottom of the first housing. On the other hand, second and third joint portions connected to a compressor suction side refrigerant pipe and a high-pressure side refrigerant pipe from a receiver, respectively, are at an outer surface of the second housing. In this manner the overall size of the expansion valve is reduced considerably, thus saving valuable space in an engine compartment of a vehicle.

Thermal expansion valve and air conditioning apparatus using the same

A centrifugal type separator is disposed on a downstream side of a temperature-operating type expansion valve. Liquid-phase refrigerant separated herein is again pressure-reduced by an aperture resistance and thereafter inducted to an inlet side of the evaporator by means of a liquid-phase refrigerant discharge passage. Meanwhile, gas-phase refrigerant separated by the separator is returned directly from a gas-phase refrigerant discharge passage to an evaporator outlet side passage, and after being united with superheated gas-phase refrigerant evaporated by the evaporator, is taken into a compressor. A temperature-sensing tube of the expansion valve is disposed further on the downstream side of the foregoing union location so as to enable the temperature of the superheated gas-phase refrigerant evaporated by the evaporator to be sensed accurately.
