A highly reliable coil component having reduced electric resistance and improved bonding strength in a connection portion between a coil conductor and an external electrode. A coil component includes an element body including a coil conductor including a wound conductive wire coated with an insulating film, a magnetic portion containing metal magnetic particles and resin, and an external electrode on a surface of the element body and electrically connected to exposed surfaces, which are exposed on the surface of the element body, of extended portions of the coil conductor. The external electrode includes at least one or more layers. When an average crystal grain size of crystal grains constituting the coil conductor is defined as a and an average crystal grain size of crystal grains constituting a base electrode layer of the external electrode directly connected to the coil conductor is defined as b, a>b is satisfied.

Coil component

A coil component including a substantially rectangular parallelepiped first magnetic portion that includes a coil conductor and a second magnetic portion disposed on at least the upper surface of the first magnetic portion. The first magnetic portion contains first magnetic particles including a metal magnetic material, the second magnetic portion contains second magnetic particles and a resin, and the resin content in the second magnetic portion is higher than the resin content in the first magnetic portion.

The coil component includes a magnetic body containing a metallic material and a resin material, a coil conductor embedded in the magnetic body, and a pair of outer electrodes electrically connected to ends of the coil conductor. The coil conductor includes an exposed portion at each end portion of the coil conductor, and a covered portion covered with an insulating substance disposed between the exposed portions. The covered portion is disposed inside a face of the magnetic body on which the outer electrodes are disposed.

An electronic component includes an element body made of a composite material of a resin material and metal powder. A plurality of particles of the metal powder are exposed from the resin material and make contact with one another on the outer surface of the element.

Electronic component and method for manufacturing the same

A coil component is capable of suppressing occurrence of peeling at an interface between a coil conductor and resin in a magnetic portion due to heating during mounting. The coil component includes an element body that includes a coil conductor formed by winding a conductive wire coated with an insulating film, and a magnetic portion that contains metal magnetic particles and resin, and external electrodes that are electrically connected to exposed surfaces of extended portions of the coil conductor exposed on a surface of the element body, and are arranged on the surface of the element body. The metal magnetic particles are arranged in recesses formed in a surface of the conductive wire in the extended portions of the coil conductor.

A coil component includes a body that is made of a composite material containing a resin material and metal powder, a coil conductor which is provided in the body and an end portion of which is exposed on an end face of the body, and a metal film that is provided on an outer surface of the body and that is electrically connected to the coil conductor on the end face in the outer surface. The outer surface of the body has a contact area that is in contact with the metal film. Multiple particles of the metal powder escape from the resin material and are in contact with each other in the contact area of the body.

Coil component and method of manufacturing the coil component

A coil component including: a magnetic body containing a magnetic material and a resin; a coil buried in the magnetic body; and a pair of outer electrodes electrically connected to the coil. One or more side faces of the magnetic body have a groove, and the groove contains a silicone resin.

A coil component includes a magnetic body portion that includes metallic particles and a resin material, a coil conductor that is embedded in the magnetic body portion, and a first outer electrode and a second outer electrode each of which is electrically connected to the coil conductor. At least a portion of an outer layer of the magnetic body portion forms an electrically conductive layer that includes a second metallic material having a specific resistance lower than a specific resistance of a first metallic material forming the metallic particles. The electrically conductive layer includes a first electrically conductive layer that is electrically connected to the first outer electrode and a second electrically conductive layer that is electrically connected to the second outer electrode. The first electrically conductive layer and the second electrically conductive layer are electrically isolated from each other.

An electronic component includes a body having a recessed portion, an inner conductor embedded in the body, and an outer electrode electrically connected to the inner conductor. At least part of the outer electrode is disposed in the recessed portion of the body. The electronic component further includes an insulating layer configured such that at least part of the outer electrode is covered with the insulating layer.
