A steering control device is configured to control a steering device that changes a transmission ratio between an operation angle of an operation member and a steering angle of a steerable wheel. The steering control device includes: communication lines for transmitting vehicle speed information; and calculators communicably connected to each other and individually connected to the communication lines. Each calculator calculates the transmission ratio based on the vehicle speed information received via a corresponding one of the communication lines and determines whether the received vehicle speed information is valid. When at least one of the calculators determines that the vehicle speed information is not valid, each calculator changes control for calculating the transmission ratio from a vehicle-speed responsive control in which the transmission ratio is calculated based on the vehicle speed information to a specific control in which the transmission ratio is calculated not based on the vehicle speed information.

Steering control device

A vehicle power supply system includes a power source control device that executes a process of switching a connection state of a driving circuit to the main power source and an auxiliary power source including; a process of switching the connection state so as to transition to a backup state as a voltage decrease of the main power source occurs, and a process of switching the connection state so as to transition to a normal state as the voltage decrease of the main power source is resolved. After a voltage decrease of the main power source occurs, a turning-side control device of a steering control unit sets an output-limited state for a turning-side motor. The output-limited state is canceled upon the power source control device completing switching of the connection state so as to transition.

Vehicle power supply system and control method of vehicle power supply system

A steer-by-wire steering system including a steering device including a steering motor and a controller configured to supply a steering current to the steering motor based on a steering request. The controller includes a plurality of microcomputers, a plurality of drive circuits, and a plurality of temperature sensors. When a detection temperature difference that is a difference between detection temperatures of any two of the plurality of temperature sensors is greater than a predetermined threshold, each of the plurality of microcomputers executes an independent calculation control to independently calculate and set a current limit value, which is an upper limit value of the steering current, based on a detection temperature of one of the plurality of temperature sensors corresponding to itself, irrespective of detection temperatures of one or more of the plurality of temperature sensors other than the one of the plurality of temperature sensors corresponding to itself.

Steer-by-wire steering system

A vehicle control unit includes a controller configured to make a state transition to a normal control state via a start-up state after a power source system of a vehicle is started. The start-up state is a state where it is possible to execute a preparation process, required for making a state transition to the normal control state, by controlling an operation member so as to move automatically. The controller is configured to execute, in the start-up state: a forced-ending condition determination process of determining whether a forced-ending condition showing that the preparation process being executed is to be forcedly ended from start of execution of the preparation process is met; a forced-ending process of forcedly ending the preparation process being executed when the forced-ending condition is met; and a notification process of notifying the driver of forced ending of the preparation process.

Vehicle control unit and vehicle control method

A steering system is configured such that electric power is supplied to a steering actuator and a turning actuator from a first power supply when a power state of a vehicle is an on state and supply of the electric power from the first power supply is cut off when the power state is an off state. The steering system includes a rotation curbing unit configured to operate such that rotation of the steering wheel is curbed in at least a part of a first power-off period from when the power state becomes an off state until when the power state becomes the on state next, as an operating period, and a second power supply configured to supply, to the rotation curbing unit, the electric power required for operation of the rotation curbing unit in the operating period, the second power supply being different from the first power supply.

Steering system

A steering control device is applied to a steer-by-wire system in which a steering mechanism and a turning mechanism are mechanically separated. The steering control device applied to the steer-by-wire system controls a drive of a steering motor that functions as a reaction motor that applies reaction torque to a steering wheel. A steering wheel lock calculating unit of the steering control device performs a steering wheel lock drive control for calculating a drive command so as to output a lock torque for maintaining a rotation stop state of the steering wheel by energizing the steering motor when a predetermined condition is satisfied while a vehicle is parked or stopped. A power converter converts power supply electric power according to the drive command calculated by the steering wheel lock calculating unit and supplies the electric power to the steering motor.

A steering control device includes a first reaction force control circuit and a second reaction force control circuit. Each of the first reaction force control circuit and the second reaction force control circuit are configured to control a reaction force motor, to execute, at a starting time, a preparation process including a process that requires the steering wheel to automatically rotate through the reaction force motor, and to store, at a time of execution completion of the preparation process, information indicating whether the preparation process has been normally completed. In a case where the first reaction force control circuit has been reset, when the information indicates that the preparation process has been normally completed, the first reaction force control circuit that has been rest is configured to not execute the preparation process at a time of restarting after completion of the reset.

Control calculation units of a back system in each actuator operate by a collaborative drive mode in which a torque is output to a motor drive unit by using an information transmitted and received mutually by a communication between the systems in common. Cooperative control calculation units in a reaction force actuator and a turning actuator can operate in cooperation with each other based on the information transmitted and received mutually by a communication between actuators. A communication between adjacent systems and a communication between adjacent actuators are restored, when a focus control calculation unit is restored, after the focus control calculation unit is stopped during operation and at least one of the communication between adjacent systems or the communication between adjacent actuators is interrupted.

Motor drive system

A steer-by-wire steering system for a vehicle, including: an operating member operable by a driver; a steering device including an electric motor and configured to steer a wheel by a force generated by the electric motor; a controller configured to control the steering device, wherein the controller enables the wheel to be steered in accordance with an operation of the operating member while imposing limitation on a supply current to the electric motor, and wherein the limitation imposed on the supply current is made smaller when a running speed of the vehicle is lower than a set speed and a steering motion of the wheel is a motion in a direction to decrease a steering amount than i) when the running speed of the vehicle is not lower than the set speed and ii) when the steering motion of the wheel is a motion in a direction to increase the steering amount.

A steer-by-wire steering system, including a steering device including a dual-system steering motor including a main system and a sub system, wherein a power supply to the main system is conducted selectively by a main power source and a backup power source, and a power supply to the sub system is conducted by only the main power source, wherein, in a normal power-supply situation in which the power supply to the main system and to the sub system is conducted by the main power source, a controller controls the sub system to operate in accordance with the main system, and wherein, in a backup power-supply situation in which the power supply to the main system is conducted by the backup power source, the controller controls the main system not to operate or to operate while limiting the power supply to the main system and controls the sub system independently.

A first actuator and a second actuator each have a plurality of control calculation units provided redundantly and a plurality of motor drive units provided redundantly. In the first and the second actuators, the control calculation units of the systems paired with each other transmit and receive information to and from each other by a communication between the actuators. When a failure occurs in any system in either of the two actuators, or when a failure occurs in a communication between actuators in either system, the control calculation unit of each actuator of the system in which the failure occurred stops the motor drive control. Then, the motor drive control is continued by the control calculation unit of the normal system in both actuators.

A power supply system includes a system control unit, an auxiliary power supply, and an auxiliary-power-supply control unit. The system control unit and the auxiliary-power-supply control unit are configured such that information of at least one control unit of the system control unit and the auxiliary-power-supply control unit is able to be output to another control unit of the system control unit and the auxiliary-power-supply control unit. The at least one control unit is configured to output information indicating that an operation of the at least one control unit is stopped to the other control unit when the at least one control unit stops the operation of the at least one control unit.

Power supply system

An actuator that applies force to a member associated with steering, and a control device that controls the actuator, have duplex configuration. First and second control devices compute the same controlled variable as first and second controlled variables, respectively. In a normal mode, the control device controls the actuator according to the first controlled variable. The first and second control devices send and receive respectively computed controlled variables to and from each other via communications. When a discrepancy arises between the first and second controlled variables, or an abnormality occurs in communications between the first and second control devices, the operating mode is switched from the normal mode to an independent mode. In the independent mode, the first and second control devices control the first and second actuators, according to the first and second controlled variables, respectively.

Steering control system

A rotation angle sensor outputs detection signals based on a rotation angle of a rotary shaft. The detection signals that are output from the rotation angle sensor include first to fourth detection signals that sinusoidally change with the rotation angle of the rotary shaft and that are different in phase from one another. Here, a phase difference between the first detection signal and the second detection signal and a phase difference between the third detection signal and the fourth detection signal are each set to 90&#xb0;. In addition, a phase difference between the first detection signal and the third detection signal and a phase difference between the second detection signal and the fourth detection signal are each set to 45&#xb0;.
