An electrolytic capacitor includes a capacitor element, and a liquid component. The capacitor element includes an anode body having a dielectric layer at a surface of the anode body, and a conductive polymer component covering part of the dielectric layer. The liquid component contains a first solvent, a base component, and an acid component. The first solvent is at least one selected from the group consisting of a polyol and a derivative thereof. The base component contains a first base which has no boiling point or a boiling point of 100° C. or higher. A conjugate acid of the first base has an acid dissociation constant of 5 or more and 10 or less.

Electrolytic capacitor

A liquid component for an electrolytic capacitor includes at least one central atom selected from the group consisting of boron, aluminum, and silicon, and a ligand having a plurality of ligand atoms bonded to the central atom. The ligand atoms are at least one selected from the group consisting of oxygen and nitrogen, and are bonded to a carbon atom having no oxo group.

An electrolytic solution for an electrolytic capacitor comprising an electrolyte and a solvent, in which the electrolyte contains an anion and a cation, and the anion is an anion having a structure obtained by removing at least one hydrogen ion from a carboxy group from a copolymer having a carboxy group, the copolymer having a carboxy group has a substituent having 5-20 carbon atoms bonded to a carbon atom of a backbone of the copolymer, the copolymer having a carboxy group does not include a hydroxy group or if it does include a hydroxy group, the content of monomers including a hydroxy group in the structural monomers of the copolymer having a carboxy group is less than 60 wt % based on the weight of all monomers constituting the copolymer having a carboxy group, and the copolymer satisfies a specific condition, and the solvent contains ethylene glycol.
