An antenna device includes a casing including an inner surface including connected first and second regions with a corner therebetween. A first antenna opposes the first region with a gap therebetween, and a second antenna opposes the second region with a gap therebetween. A first waveguide extends from the first antenna toward the first region, and a second waveguide extends from the second antenna toward the second region. In a perpendicular projection of an end surface of the first waveguide closest to the first antenna on a plane including the first region, an end surface of the waveguide closest to the inner surface is adjacent to the first corner. In a perpendicular projection of an end surface of the second waveguide closest to the second antenna on a plane including the second region, an end surface of the second waveguide closest to the inner surface is adjacent to the corner.

Antenna device and communication device

An antenna module includes dielectric substrates whose normal directions are different from each other, emitting elements disposed on the dielectric substrate, and emitting elements disposed on the dielectric substrate. The emitting element and the emitting element are capable of emitting radio waves of a first frequency band. The emitting element and the emitting element are capable of emitting radio waves of a second frequency band higher than the first frequency band. The emitting element is disposed adjacent to the emitting element in a case where the dielectric substrate is viewed in a plan view from the normal direction. On the dielectric substrate, the emitting element is disposed at a position that is farther from the dielectric substrate than the emitting element is.

Antenna module and communication device equipped therewith

An antenna module includes a dielectric substrate and a radiating element disposed on the dielectric substrate. The dielectric substrate includes first and second flat portions with different normal directions, and a bending portion that connects the first flat portion and the second flat portion. The bending portion has a bending region having a curvature. The first and second flat portions have a straight region having no curvature. The radiating element is disposed in the first flat portion. In a Raman spectrum obtained by Raman scattering spectroscopic analysis of a cross section of the dielectric substrate, a wave number difference indicating a difference between a wave number which is a mode value in the straight region and a wave number which is a mode value in the bending region is 0.1 cmor more.

Antenna module and communication device mounting same, dielectric substrate, and manufacturing method of antenna module

A communication apparatus includes: an antenna module provided with an antenna element having a flat plate shape; a housing that accommodates the antenna module; a heat dissipation plate; and an electrode. The heat dissipation plate is disposed between the housing and the antenna module, and provided with an opening that faces the antenna element. The electrode faces the antenna element in a direction normal to the antenna element and on a side of the first radiating element that radiates the radio wave.

Communication apparatus

A coupling structure for coupling an antenna substrate and a rigid substrate to each other is provided. The coupling structure includes an antenna substrate and a rigid substrate. The antenna substrate includes a dielectric and an antenna electrode, and the rigid substrate includes a dielectric and a wiring electrode, the dielectric including a plurality of laminated dielectric layers. The antenna electrode is electrically coupled to the wiring electrode. The dielectric includes an upper surface and a bottom surface that are perpendicular to the lamination direction and holds the dielectric, part of the dielectric being located between the upper surface and the bottom surface. The antenna electrode has a first recess the area of which overlaps the wiring electrode in plan view in the lamination direction.

Coupling structure and antenna module

An antenna module includes a dielectric substrate, radiating circuits disposed on the dielectric substrate, a ground electrode, and a dielectric layer. In a plan view in a direction of a normal line of the dielectric substrate, the radiating circuit is disposed adjacent to the radiating circuit. The ground electrode is disposed to face the radiating circuit and the radiating circuit. The dielectric layer is disposed to cover the radiating circuit. The radiating circuit is capable of emitting an electric wave in a frequency band higher than that for the radiating circuit. A dielectric constant of the dielectric layer is higher than a dielectric constant of the dielectric substrate. A distance between the radiating circuit and the ground electrode is shorter than a distance between the radiating circuit and the ground electrode.

Antenna module and communication apparatus equipped with the same

An antenna module including a dielectric substrate having a long side and a short side, a ground electrode, a radiating element, a peripheral electrode, and a parasitic element. The radiating element is disposed to face the ground electrode. The peripheral electrode is disposed along the long side of the dielectric substrate and is electrically connected to the ground electrode. The parasitic element is disposed along the short side of the dielectric substrate and is disposed away from the radiating element. The radiating element is configured to emit radio waves in two polarization directions along the long side and the short side of the dielectric substrate. The shortest distance between the radiating element and the parasitic element is greater than the shortest distance between the radiating element and the peripheral electrode.

Antenna module and communication device including the same

A communication device includes a dielectric substrate, a radiating element that has a flat shape and that is formed on the dielectric substrate, a housing that covers the dielectric substrate, and a rib. The rib is disposed in contact with the housing and the dielectric substrate. Feed points to which a radio frequency signal from an RFIC is supplied are formed in the radiating element. The rib and the dielectric substrate are in contact with each other in a center side region of the radiating element relative to the feed points, in a plan view from a normal direction of the dielectric substrate.

Communication device including a pressing member in contact with a cover member and a dielectric substrate

An antenna module includes feed elements each having a flat plate shape and a ground electrode arranged opposite the feed elements. The feed element radiates a radio wave of a first frequency band. The feed element radiates a radio wave of a second frequency band that is higher than the first frequency band. In a plan view of the feed element, the distance from the center of the feed element to an end portion of the ground electrode in a first direction is shorter than or equal to ½ of a free space wavelength of a radio wave radiated from the feed element. A feed point of the feed element is arranged at a location shifted in a second direction from the center of the feed element, and the second direction is different from the first direction.

Antenna module and communication device incorporating the same

An antenna module includes feeding elements arranged adjacent to each other and filters connected to the respective feeding elements. Each of the filters includes a plurality of resonant lines that is not connected to each other. The filters are arranged between the feeding elements so as to cross a virtual line equidistant from the feeding elements when the antenna module is viewed in plan from the normal direction.

Antenna module, communication apparatus including the same, and circuit substrate

An antenna module includes a dielectric substrate having a multilayer structure, a power supply element and a ground electrode (GND) disposed in or on the dielectric substrate, a parasitic element, a power supply wiring line, and first and second stubs to be connected to the power supply wiring line. The parasitic element is disposed in a layer between the power supply element and the ground electrode (GND). The power supply wiring line passes through the parasitic element and supplies radio frequency power to the power supply element. The first stub is connected to a position different from a connection position of the second stub in the power supply wiring line.

A communications apparatus an antenna module include a first substrate on which a first radiation electrode and a first ground electrode are disposed; a second substrate on which a second radiation electrode and a second ground electrode are disposed; a third substrate on which a third ground electrode is disposed; and a first connection member having a flat plate shape and connected between the first substrate and the second substrate, a fourth ground electrode being disposed on the first connection member. A radio frequency signal is transmitted to the first radiation electrode through the first connection member, and a main surface of the first connection member is in contact with a main surface of the third substrate.

An antenna module includes a dielectric substrate including a plurality of dielectric layers that are laminated, and a radiation element, a ground electrode, and peripheral electrodes that are formed in or on the dielectric substrate. The radiation element radiates radio waves in a first polarization direction. The ground electrode is placed so as to face the radiation element. The peripheral electrodes are formed in a plurality of layers between the radiation element and the ground electrode and are electrically connected to the ground electrode. The peripheral electrodes are placed at positions that are symmetrical with respect to at least either of a first direction parallel to the first polarization direction and a second direction orthogonal to the first polarization direction.

Antenna module, communication device mounted with the same, and circuit board

An antenna module includes an antenna substrate including a feed element, and a radio frequency integrated circuit (RFIC) mounted on a lower surface of the antenna substrate. The antenna substrate includes a mount portion on which the RFIC is mounted and an overhang portion that extends outward from the mount portion. The feed element is disposed in the mount portion and the overhang portion. The antenna module further includes a heat dissipator disposed on the lower surface of the overhang portion.

An antenna device includes a ground electrode, a feed element, and a parasitic element. The ground electrode has a substantially non-square rectangular plane shape that includes a first side extending in a first direction and a second side extending in a second direction orthogonal to the first direction. The feed element has a substantially rectangular plane shape and is formed in such a way that each side of the feed element becomes parallel to the first direction or the second direction. The parasitic element is formed in such a manner as to face a side of the feed element parallel to the first side. The feed element is configured to radiate a first polarized wave that excites in the first direction and a second polarized wave that excites in the second direction. The length of the first side is longer than the length of the second side.
