A blade of a hybrid type fan includes: a blade bodymade of a synthetic resin; and a metallic insertthat is insert molded simultaneously with the blade bodyand mounted to a mounting arm of a spider. At a corner on an outer side of a radial direction and a forward side of a rotary direction of the insert, a bulging portionis provided to bulge toward the outer side of the radial direction and the forward side of the rotary direction. A bulging regionof the bulging portionthat the most prominently bulges toward the outer side of the radial direction is located to be forward in the rotary direction relative to a mounting center C of the insertand the mounting arm along the radial direction.

Porous damping material ( ) is attached to an entire inner circumference of the fan shroud ( ) opposing to an end of a fan ( ) and is exposed to opposing space without using conventional perforated metal. Accordingly, jet noise caused by strong swirl between the fan ( ) and the fan shroud ( ) can be damped by the damping material ( ) and impulsive sound scarcely occurs. Thus, both of the impulsive sound and the jet noise can be effectively damped, thereby securely reducing noise. Noise reduction mechanism of fan device and molding method of porous damping material therefor

A curved section ( ) is provided at a proximal end of a fan ( ), so that a rotation locus thereof is configured in a shape conforming to a flow of a cooling air such as center-dented. Accordingly, the cooling air can be smoothly sucked in by the fan ( ) as well as fan shroud along an arcuate section on an inlet side. Further, since natural flow toward radially outward flow of the cooling air can be guided by an arcuate section on an outlet side, thus smoothly discharging the cooling air. Therefore, the flow of the cooling air can be made smooth entirely from upstream to downstream, thus increasing flow rate and reducing noise.
