An internal combustion engine fuel supply system includes a first fuel tank, a separator, and circuitry. The first fuel tank is to store fuel. The separator is connected to the first fuel tank to separate the fuel supplied from the first fuel tank into a high octane fuel and a low octane fuel which are to be supplied to an internal combustion engine. The high octane fuel has a first octane number. The low octane fuel has a second octane number lower than the first octane number. The circuitry is configured to determine whether fuel has been supplied to the first fuel tank, and to operate the separator to separate the fuel into the high octane fuel and the low octane fuel when it is determined that fuel has been supplied to the first fuel tank.

Internal combustion engine fuel supply system and internal combustion engine fuel supply method

A fuel storage apparatus includes a fuel tank, a heat exchanger, a fuel pipe, and a medium pipe. The heat exchanger performs heat exchange between fuel inside the fuel tank and a heat exchange medium. The fuel pipe is provided inside the fuel tank and delivers the fuel to the heat exchanger. The medium pipe is provided outside the fuel tank and delivers the heat exchange medium to the heat exchanger. The heat exchanger includes a first joint and a second joint. The first joint is provided inside the fuel tank and is connectable to the fuel pipe. The second joint is provided outside the fuel tank and is connectable to the medium pipe.

In a fuel supply device for separating raw fuel into high-octane fuel and low-octane fuel and supplying the fuel, to arrange the structural components compactly and to facilitate sealing against fuel vapor, the fuel supply device () includes: a raw fuel tank () for storing raw fuel; a separator () provided inside the raw fuel tank to separate the raw fuel into high-octane fuel that contains a greater amount of components with high octane numbers than the raw fuel and low-octane fuel that contains a greater amount of components with low octane numbers than the raw fuel; and a high-octane fuel tank () provided inside the raw fuel tank to store the high-octane fuel separated from the raw fuel by the separator.

A valve cooling device of an internal combustion engine in which engine oil is circulated in a valve that faces a combustion chamber, the valve includes a valve umbrella portion and a valve stem. An inside of the valve stem is formed with an oil introduction channel and an oil lead-out channel, a jet portion that includes a jet oil passage coaxially disposed with the oil introduction channel is provided in the extended direction of the valve stem, and the engine oil is injected from an orifice provided on a tip portion of the jet oil passage to an inner portion of the oil introduction channel.

Spherical coupling structure between a piston and a connecting rod

This invention relates to a cooling structure for cooling a cylinder liner by circulating coolant in a water jacket formed along an outer periphery of the cylinder liner. This cooling structure includes an annular first water reservoir for temporarily storing coolant. This first water reservoir allows the coolant to uniformly flow circumferentially of the cylinder liner. The cooling structure also includes a plurality of coolant passages provided radially for connecting the first water reservoir to the water jacket. The coolant is caused to strike a part of a wall defining the water jacket substantially vertically from the radial coolant passages, thereby to generate turbulent flow in the coolant to efficiently cool the cylinder liner.

A piston for an internal combustion engine includes a crown, tubular walls extending from the edge of the crown, and a cup portion protruding from the rear surface of the crown and having a concave spherical surface for forming a spherical joint with a spherical small end on a connecting rod. The tubular walls and the cup portion are joined together by radially extending ribs.
