An electrostatic coating method in which a plurality of coating materials is respectively retained in a plurality of coating-material containers in a coating material cartridge, and the coating materials are changed by a valve at the time of sending of each of the coating materials, in an electrostatic coating device, each of the coating materials is sent from the coating material cartridge to a coating machine via a common path according to the change, and multilayer coating is performed by the electrostatic coating device.

Electrostatic coating device and electrostatic coating method

An electrostatic painting method includes supplying, via a pure water supply passage, pure water to a paint tank within which paint is stored, applying a voltage to paint that is pushed out from the paint tank by the supplied pure water, and spraying the paint to which the voltage has been applied, at an object to be painted. Pure water remaining in the pure water supply passage is replaced to increase an electrical resistance value of the pure water before starting to paint the object to be painted.

Electrostatic painting method and electrostatic painting apparatus

An electrostatic coating device and an electrostatic coating method each achieve a reduction in working hours and efficient coating at the time when layers are coated with colors. The electrostatic coating device includes a coating material cartridge that includes coating-material containers, a valve that makes a change of colors of coating materials, a common path through which coating materials are able to pass according to the change, and a cleaning circuit that cleans up the common path. The coating material cartridge is configured to be removable from a coating machine. The coating material cartridge may include individual paths respectively connected to the coating-material containers and each of which one of the coating materials passes through, and valves each connected to the common path and respectively connected to the individual paths. Each of the valves may open and close a conduit line between the common path and a corresponding coating-material container.

An electrostatic coating system includes a coating robot () and an electrostatic atomizer () attached to a polyarticular wrist portion () of the robot (). The atomizer () includes an end plate (), metallic connector () fixed to the end plate () in electric conduction, high voltage generator () and bell head (). Electric power is supplied to the high voltage generator () through the connector (). Wires () are connected to the connector () to take out high voltage leak caused by contamination like a deposition of paint on outer surfaces of the atomizer () through the wiresto control the high voltage generator () to lower the value of the high voltage applied to the bell head () of high voltage leak detected through the wires () is larger than a predetermined threshold value.

Electrostatic coating system

According to the present invention, even though the paint is filled or discharged repetitively to or from the paint bag (), so that bursting of a coating bag () or lack of coating material during coating are not caused by accumulation of error between the filling amount and the using amount. That is, before a predetermined amount of the coating material is supplied to the coating material bag (), the remaining coating material in the coating material bag () is extruded to empty it, since the coating material bag () is squashed by the pressure of fluid which was supplied to the hydraulic fluid chamber () outside of the bag.

Method and apparatus for filling coating material

A rotary atomizing electrostatic coating apparatus includes a plurality of shaping air nozzles for expelling shaping air having a pressure of about 80-250 kPa at an exit of each shaping air nozzle and having an amount of air to be expelled per nozzle of about 10-20 Nl min. Each shaping air nozzle has a diameter of about 0.6-1.5 mm. The number of shaping air nozzles is determined so that a summation of diameters of all shaping air nozzles is equal to between about 1/6-1/4 times an entire circumferential length of a greatest outside diameter of the atomizing head.

Rotary atomizing electrostatic coating apparatus and method

A rotary atomizing electrostatic coating apparatus includes a plurality of shaping air nozzles disposed on a first circle having its circle center on an axis of rotation of an atomizing head, a plurality of pattern control air nozzles disposed on a second circle having a larger diameter than the first circle. The pattern control air nozzles are located at 3-100 mm on a rear side of the shaping air nozzles and inside a circle having a diameter three times a diameter of the atomizing head. An air passable opening may be formed radially between the shaping air nozzles and the pattern control air nozzles.

Rotary atomizing electrostatic coating apparatus

A rotary atomizing electrostatic coating apparatus includes an atomizing head having bores for self-cleaning the atomizing head, a center nozzle, and surrounding nozzle or nozzles. In the apparatus, an intersection of paint expelled from the paint nozzle or nozzles with the rear surface of the hub is offset from the rear openings of the bores.

An electrostatic coating machine comprising at least two paint tanks (13A, 13B) for pushing out a paint by a pressure of a hydraulic fluid which one is attached to a rotary base (14) while being electrically insulated from each other, and can be positioned to a coating position opposed to the machine body (3) by the rotation of the rotary base (14) such that while one paint tank is at the coating position, the other paint tank is engaged with a paint charging attachment (22) that is disposed being electrically insulated from the machine body (3) and has a paint supply port (Ps) for supplying a cleaning fluid and a paint of a next color and a drain recovery port (Dr) for recovering drains. Cleaning/paint charging time can be shortened to improve operation efficiency and insulation countermeasure for the paint supply system can be saved.
