A vortex flow blower used as an air source to be incorporated into general industrial machines. The vortex flow blower is characterized in that the shape of the blade in its impeller is three dimensionally formed such that at least the inner portion of the blade can be adapted to the three dimensional internal flow. According to the present invention, the aerodynamic performance can be significantly improved and the size of a vortex flow blower can be reduced. Furthermore, an impeller having three dimensionally shaped blades is manufactured by independently manufacturing the shroud and the blades and coupling them, so that the impeller of a complicated shape can be readily manufactured. Furthermore, since the blade can be made of a thin and light material, the secondary moment of inertia of the impeller can be reduced.

Method of manufacturing an impeller

A vortex blower includes an induction motor and a blower portion driven by the motor. The blower portion includes an impeller and a casing. The impeller is so mounted on a rotary output shaft of the induction motor that the impeller is disposed near the induction motor. The casing is so disposed that the impeller is interposed between the induction motor and the casing. An inlet port and an outlet port are provided on an end of the casing opposite to the induction motor. The blower portion has approximately the same diameter as that of the induction motor.

In an inverter device comprising a main circuit section which switches a power at high speed, having a switching element and a smoothing condenser for smoothing the power supplied to the switching element, and a logic section for controlling the main circuit section, a shielding member is disposed between the main circuit section and the logical section. The shielding member includes a combination of a heat shielding member and an electromagnetic shielding member so as to protect the logic section from heat, electromagnetic noise, and vibration generated in the main circuit section for improving reliability of the inverter device.

Inverter device

A thrust bearing including a ring-like form plate body, and a plurality of rib members provided on the ring-like form plate body of the thrust bearing. Such a plurality of rib members may be provided on a thrust runner. The rib members cause a difference in load deformation amount in a circumferential direction according to thrust load and generate a wedge-shaped form clearance between a sliding face of the thrust bearing and a sliding face of the thrust runner. Since the wedge-shaped form clearance is formed by utilizing the load deformation, even when the thrust load becomes large, the wedge-shaped form clearance does not become narrow. The occurrence of dynamic pressure by the wedge effect and the formation of a water film can be assured, and the temperature increase between the sliding face of the thrust runner and the sliding face of the thrust bearing can be restrained.

Submersible thrust bearing apparatus

A ventilating system including a heat exchanger utilizing boiling and condensation of a liquid mounted in a cabinet formed with a first air passage and a second air passage by a partition plate extending horizontally across the heat exchanger substantially in the center thereof. At least one air sucking and exhausting fan is mounted in one of the first and second air passages, and the heat exchanger is provided with at least one auxiliary heat exchanger operative to perform space cooling or space heating. The first and second air passages are each provided with ventilating ports for effecting heat recovery, ventilating ports for effecting cooling by ventilation and a ventilating port for allowing cooled air or heated air to flow therethrough, so that the ventilating system can be operated in a heat recovery mode, a cooling by ventilation mode and a space cooling or space heating mode by actuating the auxiliary heat exchanger and suitably opening and closing various ventilating ports.
