The invention relates to anti-EGF like domain multiple 6 antibody (anti-EGFL6 antibody) and cancer detection (or diagnosis) and treatment using the anti-EGFL6 antibody. The present invention creates anti-EGFL6 antibodies, particularly, a single-chain antibody fragments (scFv) and humanized antibody, which have ability in binding to EGFL6 and in inhibiting angiogenesis and cancer cell growth.

Anti-EGF like domain multiple 6 (EGFL6) antibodies

A composition of plant ingredients, a herbal composition for inhibiting coronavirus and cytokine storm, and a preparation method of the herbal composition are introduced. The composition of plant ingredients has Heartleaf Houttuynia, Indigowoad Root, Fineleaf Nepeta, Saposhnikovia Root, Mulberry Leaf, Scutellaria Root, Mongolian Snakegourd Fruit, Magnolia Bark, Peppermint Herb and Baked Liquorice Root. The herbal composition has 1 to 20 parts by weight of Heartleaf Houttuynia, Indigowoad Root, Fineleaf Nepeta, Saposhnikovia Root, Mulberry Leaf, Scutellaria Root, Mongolian Snakegourd Fruit, Magnolia Bark, Peppermint Herb and Baked Liquorice Root. The preparation method contains providing Heartleaf Houttuynia, Indigowoad Root, Fineleaf Nepeta, Saposhnikovia Root, Mulberry Leaf, Scutellaria Root, Mongolian Snakegourd Fruit, Magnolia Bark, Peppermint Herb and Baked Liquorice Root; and soaking all the herbs described above in water and boiling the water to prepare a herbal liquid, the volume of which is about one-third of an initial volume of the water.

Disclosed herein are novel uses of a compound of formula (I) as an inhibitor of bacterial two component signal transduction system (TCS),A-L-B-L-A&#x2003;&#x2003;(I)wherein, A is a moiety having a negative charge; L is &#x2014;(CH&#x2014;O)&#x2014;CH&#x2014; or a moiety consists of a carbocyclyl and a heterocyclyl respectively having 5 to 10 ring atoms and coupling together, in which n is 0 or 1; and B is a 5 to 10-membered carbocyclyl or heterocyclyl. The compound of formula (I) may suppress or inhibit the growth of bacteria, including the notorious multi-drug resistant bacteria.

Disclosed is a use of, ugonins or compounds of formula (I) for the treatment or prevention of metabolic diseases comprising at least one selected from metabolic syndrome, excessive lipid accumulation, obesity, overweight, fatty liver, hepatic steatosis, hepatitis, cirrhosis, liver cancer, dyslipidemia, hyperlipidemia, hypertriglyceridemia, hyperlipoproteinemia, hypercholesterolemia, cardiovascular disease, hyperglycemia, hyperinsulinemia, diabetes mellitus type 2, insulin resistance, insulin disorder, impaired glucose tolerance and a combination thereof.

Use of helminthostachys, ugonins or flavone-based compounds for the treatment or prevention of metabolic diseases

Disclosed are nucleic acid libraries for identifying a signal peptide that facilitates production of disulfide-stabilized single chain antibody, and for facilitating production of a disulfide-stabilized single chain antibody.
