A truck includes an alternator having a direct current electrical power output. The truck also includes a combined inverter and charger unit having an alternating current electrical power output, a house battery and a starting battery. The combined inverter and charger unit is configured to charge the house battery and the starting battery. The truck further includes a day cab forming an interior space and a climate control unit for conditioning the interior space of the day cab. The climate control unit is adapted to be powered by an alternating current electrical source. The climate control unit is powered by the alternator through the combined inverter and charger unit when an engine of the truck engine is running, and is powered by the house battery or the starting through the combined inverter and charger unit when the engine is not running.

Power supply system for a vehicle climate control unit

An HVAC system for a motorized vehicle or vessel is provided that includes a variable-speed compressor, a variable-speed condenser fan and a variable-speed evaporator fan. The HVAC system further includes a DC-power system for supplying DC power to the variable-speed compressor, the variable-speed condenser fan and the variable-speed evaporator fan regardless if the mobile unit's engine is operating or not operating. A controller and an operator interface are also provided for controlling the operation of the HVAC system.

DC-powered HVAC system

The subject application relates to a remote control system and method for an ice maker machine. The system, for example, can monitor and regulate the operations of a plurality of ice maker components. An output display can also be employed in order to output relevant operating statuses to a user remotely or at a distance from the ice maker machine. The system can receive user input as well as sensor input and control the operation of the ice maker according to both types of input. As a result, a user can remotely determine failure modes and efficiently troubleshoot them as well as maintain an overall awareness of the operation status of the ice maker without physical interaction with the machine.
