A needle-less connector includes a housing having a drug solution flow path, and an elastic valve body. An end surface of the housing on a side of a tip end opening of the drug solution flow path constitutes a protruding support surface whose center section protrudes and slopes in a direction of a foot, and the elastic valve body is superposed onto the protruding support surface in a state of close contact therewith. Insertion of a male luer into a slit of the elastic valve body causes expanding deformation of the elastic valve body along the protruding support surface. A flexion section is formed on a sloped surface of the protruding support surface, and the sloped surface has different tilt angles on a foot section side and on a crest section side of the flexion section.

Needle-less connector

A disposable lancing device including: a lancet housed in a housing and urged by a spring member such that a puncture member provided at a distal end of the lancet is adapted to extend out from the housing so as to carry out a puncturing operation; a locking ring disposed within the housing such that the lancet is allowed to displace in an extension direction through the locking ring; a locking protrusion provided to the lancet and adapted to be engaged by the locking ring so as to hold the lancet in a puncture-ready position located deep in the housing with the spring member being compressed; and an operating member adapted to carry out the puncturing operation by rotating the locking ring so as to disengage the locking protrusion from the locking ring and displace the lancet in the extension direction by means of the spring member.

Disposable lancing device

A medical connector of improved configuration. Annular grooves are formed in both inner and outer surfaces of an outer peripheral portion of an elastic valve element to form an annular constricted section. An outer peripheral side from the constricted section is made to serve as an annular fixation section. A valve receiving seat is formed at an inner peripheral edge of an aperture portion in a housing, and an annular ring is fixed to the aperture portion to sandwich and support the annular fixation section between the valve receiving seat and the annular ring. Engaging projections formed on mutually facing surfaces of the valve receiving seat and the annular ring are engaged with the annular grooves, and either the engaging projection and/or the engaging projection is divided in a circumferential direction to have a plurality of projection-divisions.

Semiconductor device and method for fabricating the same

Provided is a safety needle assembly for protecting a needle point, a safety type needle assembly having a curved portion, to which an erroneous piercing preventing mechanism is added, or a safety type Hoover needle assembly thereby to prevent the piercing accident. The safety needle assembly includes a needle having a point at its leading end, a hub for holding the root end portion of the needle, and a leading end protecting portion. The safety needle assembly further includes a restricting portion for restricting the distance between the needle and the hub, in that the leading end protecting portion includes a mechanism for warping the needle point, when the leading end protecting portion moves the leading end of the needle to a projecting position, thereby to accommodate the needle point in the inner side of the leading end protecting portion, so that the leading end of the needle is protected.

Safety needle assembly

A disposable lancing device including: a housing; a spring member; a lancet having a skin puncture needle, the spring member and the lancet being housed within the housing such that a needle tip of the skin puncture needle is adapted to be projected out from the housing under urging of the lancet by the spring member to perform skin puncture procedure; and a protective cap having a needle passage hole and covering the needle tip of the skin puncture needle, the protective cap being adapted to separate from the skin puncture needle and rotate so that the needle passage hole of the protective cap is positioned on a path of projection of the skin puncture needle, and the skin puncture procedure is performed with the protective cap supported on the housing.

A semiconductor device includes a first MIS transistor on a first active region of a semiconductor substrate, the first MIS transistor including: a first gate insulating film provided on the first active region; a first gate electrode provided on the first gate insulating film; a first stressor insulating film provided on an upper face and side faces facing in a gate length direction of the first gate electrode such that first stress acts on a channel of the first MIS transistor in the gate length direction; and a first base insulating film provided on side faces of the first gate electrode facing in a gate width direction, wherein the side faces of the first gate electrode facing in the gate width direction are not covered with the first stressor insulating film.

Semiconductor device and fabrication method thereof

A semiconductor device includes an active region formed on a semiconductor substrate, an element isolation region formed on the semiconductor substrate so as to surround the active region, and a gate electrode formed on the active region. A region that causes tensile stress so as to improve carrier mobility in the active region is provided in the element isolation region.

Semiconductor device and manufacturing method thereof

In a semiconductor device having a first MIS transistor on a semiconductor substrate, the first MIS transistor includes a p-type semiconductor layer, a first gate insulating film, a first gate electrode, a first sidewall insulating film including at least a first sidewall, an n-type extension diffusion layer, and an n-type impurity diffusion layer. The first sidewall is not formed at the side faces of the first gate electrode on the p-type semiconductor layer. An insulating film having tensile stress is formed on the semiconductor substrate so as to cover the first MIS transistor.

Semiconductor device and method for manufacturing the same

A medical valve includes: (a) a housing having a hollow body opened at the top end, wherein the tip of a male luer is to be removably inserted in the housing; (b) a spike disposed to extend longitudinally in the housing, the spike except at least the top end portion being formed in an approximately tapered shape in which its outside diameter becomes progressively smaller toward the top end portion, wherein a fluid transferring passage, which is opened radially outwardly, is formed to extend longitudinally in the spike; and (c) an elastic seal having an elastically deformable tubular shape fitted on the spike to seal the spike, the elastic seal including a top end portion having an openable/closable portion to be openably closed over the spike, wherein the elastic seal is elastically deformed to be downwardly shrunk by downward pressure due to the tip of the male luer.

Medical valve

Providing an evacuated blood collection tube for blood collection rapidly, whereby serum of high purity can be isolated in a rapid and simple manner with no occurrence of fibrin deposition. Beads each coated with a blood coagulation-promoting enzyme comprising thrombin and batroxobin are contained in the evacuated blood collection tube. Preferably, thrombin is used in an amount of 0.1 to 3 IU and batroxobin is used in an amount of 0.25 to 2 BU, per 1 ml of collected blood.
