There is provided an intercom system capable of reducing power consumption by stably performing wireless communication between a camera and a monitor. Monitorchecks whether or not a communication error occurs in image data received from camera, and checks whether or not there is a slot as a moving destination in an empty state in a case where the communication error occurs. In a case where there is no slot as the moving destination, monitorcontrols the number of connected image calls by transmitting an image call disconnect request to camera. Accordingly, intercom systemvaries image quality (a frame rate, a compression ratio, or an image size) depending on a radio wave status.

Intercom system

Provided is a video intercom device suppressing electric power consumption. The video intercom device adopts a configuration where the video intercom device performs wireless communication between a front door slave unit and an indoor master unit, the indoor master unit includes a wireless communication unit that requests the front door slave unit to be switched between a first communication method by which the front door slave unit periodically turns on a main power source and is in a sleep state when the main power source turns off, and a second communication method by which the front door slave unit turns on the main power source when an interrupt occurs and is in the sleep state when the main power source turns off, and the front door slave unit includes a controller that controls switching to a communication method requested from the indoor master unit.

Video intercom device

A radio communication apparatus and transmission power control method are disclosed, which can maintain communication with handsets while avoiding an increase in radio interference to another radio communication system as much as possible when radio communication is performed with one or more handsets. The handset transmits a communication start request signal to a base unit. Upon verifying the reception of the communication start request, the base unit measures the RSSI level of the communication start request signal transmitted from the handset, determines a transmission power value based on a power control table that has been updated with the measured RSSI level, and controls the transmission power of a control signal transmitted to the handset.

Radio communication apparatus and transmission power control method

Provided is a video intercom device for suppressing electric power consumption. The video intercom device adopts a configuration where the video intercom device switches between a first communication method by which an indoor master unit or a telephone master unit and a front door slave unit performs wireless communication under a predetermined condition, and a second communication method with electric power consumption lower than that of the first communication method, the first communication method is switched to the second communication method when the indoor master unit registers the front door slave unit, and the second communication method is switched to the first communication method when a telephone master unit registers the front door slave unit.

A wireless communication apparatus and transmission power control method are disclosed, which can sustain communication with all microphone handsets while avoiding an increase in radio interference to another radio communication system as much as possible when radio communication is performed with a plurality of microphone handsets. In the wireless communication apparatus, a level measurement section measures an RSSI level of a call signal each time the base unit receives a call signal from each microphone handset; and a transmission power control section controls an amplification section so that a transmission power value is determined at a predetermined timing using a minimum value of the RSSI levels of the respective microphone handsets, and that a control signal is transmitted to the microphone handsets with the determined transmission power value.
