A work machine includes a vehicle body including a travel device, a blade supported so as to be rotatable about a pitch axis with respect to the vehicle body, a pitch actuator configured to cause the blade to perform a pitch motion about the pitch axis, and a controller. The determines whether a slip occurs on the travel device during work with the blade, and causes the blade to perform the pitch motion in a backward tilt direction upon determining that the slip occurs.

Work machine and method for controlling work machine

A work machine includes a vehicle body, a lift frame rotatably supported about a lift axis, a blade rotatably supported about a pitch axis with respect to the lift frame, a lift actuator, a pitch actuator, a sensor detects a current blade tip position of the blade, and a controller. The controller acquires actual topography data indicative of an actual topography to be worked, acquires target topography data indicative of a target topography, and controls the lift actuator so that a blade tip of the blade moves according to the target topography. The controller controls the pitch actuator so that a pitch angle of the blade is changed based on a positional relationship in a vertical direction between any two of the actual topography corresponding to the current blade tip position, the target topography corresponding to the current blade tip position, and the current blade tip position.

The system includes a vehicle body sensor attached to a vehicle body of a work machine, a work implement sensor attached to a work implement of the work machine to detect a roll angle of the work implement, and a controller communicably connected to the sensors. The vehicle body sensor detects roll, pitch, and yaw angles of the vehicle body. The controller acquires the roll and pitch angles of the vehicle body detected by the vehicle body sensor, acquires the roll angle of the work implement detected by the work implement sensor, calculates a yaw angle error of the vehicle body sensor with respect to the vehicle body based on the pitch angle of the vehicle body and a difference between the roll angle of the vehicle body and the roll angle of the work implement, and calibrates the vehicle body sensor using the yaw angle error.

System and method for controlling work machine

An engine compartment accommodates an engine. A cooling device is configured to cool the engine. A cooling compartment accommodates the cooling device. A division wall is disposed between the engine compartment and the cooling compartment. A ventilation portion includes a hole for permitting air to pass therethrough and is provided on a top surface of the engine compartment. A water receiving member is disposed under the ventilation portion within the engine compartment. A water catchment member is disposed in the cooling compartment and catches water received by the water receiving member. A drainage pathway is connected to the water catchment member and leads the water to a predetermined drainage position.
