A toner includes toner particles. The toner particles each include a toner mother particle. The toner mother particles contain a binder resin and a magnetic powder. The binder resin includes a polyester resin, a vinyl resin, and a block polymer. The block polymer includes a polyester portion, a vinyl polymer portion, and a linker that links the polyester portion and the vinyl polymer portion. The linker is derived from a specific compound having a vinyl group and at least one of a carboxy group and an alcoholic hydroxyl group. The magnetic powder has an octahedral structure.

Toner

A positively chargeable toner includes toner particles. The toner particles each include a core, a shell layer covering a surface of the core, and fluororesin particles. The fluororesin particles are positioned within the core, or between the core and the shell layer. The shell layer contains a positively chargeable material.

Positively chargeable toner, image forming apparatus and image forming method

A toner includes a plurality of toner particles that each include a core and a shell layer disposed over a surface of the core. The shell layer contains a unit derived from a thermoplastic resin and a unit derived from a monomer or prepolymer of a thermosetting resin. A surface of each of the toner particles has a Young's modulus that changes by a proportion of no greater than 20% from 30&#xb0; C. to 50&#xb0; C., and changes by a proportion from 50&#xb0; C. to 70&#xb0; C. that when divided by the proportion of change from 30&#xb0; C. to 50&#xb0; C., yields a value of at least 3.0 and no greater than 10.0. The Young's modulus is measured in a state in which an external additive is not adhered to the toner particle using a scanning probe microscope while raising a cantilever temperature thereof.

Toner and method of manufacturing the same

An electrostatic latent image developing toner includes toner particles each including a toner core containing a binder resin and a shell layer on a surface of the toner core. The shell layer includes a unit derived from a monomer of a thermosetting resin. The thermosetting resin is one or more resins selected from the group of amino resins consisting of a melamine resin, a urea resin, and a glyoxal resin. The inorganic particles intervene in an interface between the toner core and the shell layer. The inorganic particles have a number average particle diameter of 60 nm or more and 250 nm or less. Protrusions having a shape that follows a shape of the inorganic particles are on surfaces of the toner particles.

Electrostatic latent image developing toner and method for producing the same

An electrostatic charge image developing toner includes a plurality of toner particles each having a toner core, organic particles adhering to a surface of the toner core, and a shell layer covering the toner core and the organic particles. The shell layers contain a thermosetting resin. A number average particle diameter of the organic particles is at least 50 nm and at most 150 nm
