A system or method can facilitate source localization of brain electrical activity. In one example, an expert system can be utilized to evaluate the source localization results and, based on the acceptability of the results, adjust a data preparation phase to provide for acceptable source localization.

Systems and methods can be used to help discriminate between epileptic and non-epileptic seizures based on a relationship between the postictal heart electrical activity and the preictal heart electrical activity. Also disclosed is an approach to determine an R-R interval by using a time-invariant complex wavelet transform.

System, apparatus and method for diagnosing seizures

An identification technique that includes a closed loop parameter estimation algorithm for process gain, time constant and deadtime. The estimation algorithm uses time integrals of system variables responding to a step input. Proper selection of the integrals (control areas) results in a set of equations which are solvable for desired process parameters.
