A microdermabrasion composition is provided. The composition preferably has 2-60 weight percent surfactant, 5-60 weight percent volatile silicone oil, 8-50 weight percent anhydrous solvent, and 1-25 weight percent water soluble salt. The water soluble salt is most preferably sodium chloride. The composition is effective and safe for in-home microdermabrasion. A kit including such a microdermabrasion composition and an applicator sponge, and a method of microdermabrasion are also provided.

Microdermabrasion composition and kit

A sunless tanning formulation is provided to impart a cosmetic coloring effect to skin. The formulation is particularly useful to camouflage the effects of vitiligo. The formulation has both makeup coloring components for instant coloring effect, and dihydroxyacetone for a lasting coloring effect. The formulation is a water-in-oil emulsion with water being the inner phase and oil being the outer phase. A method of camouflaging depigmented splotches resulting from vitiligo using dihydroxyacetone is also provided.
