From a desired wrist joint position and a desired elbow rotation angle, a temporary elbow joint position is calculated on the assumption that a distance between a shoulder joint and an elbow joint is fixed. The shoulder joint has a first axis, a second axis, and a third axis, and the elbow joint has a fourth axis. From the calculated temporary elbow joint position, temporary angles of the first and second axes or temporary angles of the first to fourth axes are determined. The temporary angles are corrected in accordance with at least one evaluation function calculated from the temporary angles.

Manipulator system

A robot control system includes a start position storage that stores a start position or orientation in a manual operation, a redundancy trajectory storage that successively stores a position or orientation of optimized redundancy during the manual operation, and a reverse movement controller which performs movement control for changing the position or orientation of a robot hand, which have been changed by the manual operation, in a reverse direction from the current position or orientation to the start position or orientation. The reverse movement controller also performs movement control for reversely changing the position or orientation of the redundancy by following the position or orientation of the redundancy that have been successively stored in the redundancy trajectory storage.

Robot control system

A robot apparatus having a robot and a controller for controlling the robot. The apparatus has a diagnosing computer connected to the controller and acquiring a state quantity of the robot. An analyzing computer is provided remotely from the robot and has a control parameter adjuster for adjusting a control parameter of the robot, and a communicating function of connecting the computers. The state quantity is transmitted to the analyzing computer by the communicating function and a control parameter of the robot is obtained based on the state quantity. The control parameter is transmitted to the controller through the diagnosing computer to control the robot.

Controllable object remote control and diagnosis apparatus

A robot controller for keeping the posture of a tool in a task coordinate system by a simple processing and allowing a robot to perform flexible translational motion. A robot controller for controlling a motor for driving a joint by a control circuit having a position/speed state feedback loop, has a mechanism for measuring the angle of a joint of a robot, a mechanism for storing the initial posture of a tool attached to the end of a hand of the robot, a mechanism for setting the position or speed gain of a specific joint axis smaller than the position or speed gains of the other joint axes, and a mechanism for calculating the correction of a position or speed command to keep the tool posture with respect to the robot base on the basis of the angle of the joint and the initial posture of the tool.
