A set including a filter candle for separating a compressed gas and a disperse phase present therein, and a bottom cap placed on a lower side of the filter candle. The filter candle contains a filter medium containing a coalescence medium for coalescing the disperse phase and a drainage medium for draining the coalesced disperse phase in a downward direction to the bottom cap, where at least one drainage opening is provided in the bottom cap at a position corresponding to the drainage medium for discharging coalesced liquid from the drainage medium. A side of the bottom cap facing away from the filter medium is provided with a drip-off position and with at least one drainage profile which extends from the at least one drainage opening, where the drainage profile is provided for discharging the coalesced disperse phase from the at least one draining opening to the drip-off position.

Coalescence filter

A coalescence filter for purifying a fluid which contains a carrier and at least one liquid contaminant by coalescing of the at least one contaminant, where the coalescence filter includes an inlet for supplying the fluid to a filter element present in the coalescence filter, where the filter element includes a primary coalescence medium which is provided for coalescing of the at least one contaminant in the primary coalescence medium during the displacement of the fluid through the primary coalescence medium. The coalescence filter further includes an outlet for discharging the coalesced contaminant from the filter element, where the primary coalescence medium comprises at least one layer of a porous material, where the primary coalescence medium has a total thickness of at least 3.5 mm.

High bulk coalescing filter media and use thereof

A coalescence filter including an inlet for supplying the gas to a filter element present in the coalescing filter, which filter element includes a coalescence medium for coalescing at least one disperse liquid phase during a displacement of a gas through the coalescence medium in a flow direction. The filter element downstream of the coalescence medium includes a drainage medium for draining the at least one coalesced disperse phase leaving the coalescence medium. The filter element contains a barrier layer positioned downstream of the coalescence medium, where the coalescence medium and the barrier layer are held at a distance from each other by one or more spacers to provide a drainage zone in the drainage layer of a drainage medium between a surface of the coalescence medium facing the barrier layer and the barrier layer for draining the coalesced disperse phase in a drainage direction.

Drainage medium for gas filter

The present invention relates to a coalescence filter for purifying a fluid which contains a carrier and at least one liquid contaminant, by coalescing of the at least one contaminant. The coalescence filter comprises an inlet for supplying the fluid to a filter element present in the coalescence filter. The filter element comprises a primary coalescence medium which is provided for coalescing of the at least one contaminant in the primary coalescence medium. The coalescence filter further comprises an outlet for discharging the coalesced contaminant from the filter element. The primary coalescence medium comprises at least one layer of a porous material, and has a total thickness of at least 3.5 mm, preferably at least 4 mm, preferably at least 5 mm, more preferably at least 6 mm, most preferably at least 7 mm, in particular at least 7.5 mm, measured at a pressure of 2N/cm.

Coalescence filter and method for purifying a fluid

The present invention relates to a coalescence filter for purifying a fluid which contains a carrier and at least one liquid contaminant by coalescing of the at least one contaminant, wherein the coalescence filter includes an inlet for supplying the fluid to a filter element present in the coalescence filter, wherein the filter element includes a primary coalescence medium which is provided for coalescing of the at least one contaminant in the primary coalescence medium during the displacement of the fluid through the primary coalescence medium, wherein the coalescence filter further includes an outlet for discharging the coalesced contaminant from the filter element, wherein the primary coalescence medium comprises at least one layer of a porous material, wherein the primary coalescence medium has a total thickness of at least 3.5 mm.

The present invention relates to a filter unit for filtering a compressed gas contaminated with oil, in particular compressed air, wherein the filter unit contains a coalescence filter for coalescing the contaminant contained in the compressed gas, in particular oil. The coalescence filter comprises a housing with a gas supply for supplying the gas to a primary coalescence medium disposed in the housing, the gas flowing in a flow direction, wherein the primary coalescence medium contains at least one first layer of a first porous coalescence medium and a second layer of a second porous coalescence medium adjacent to the first layer, wherein the primary coalescence medium has a total thickness of at least 3.5 mm, measured at a pressure of 2 N/cm.
