A system, in certain embodiments, includes a compression cylinder configured to mount to a reciprocating compressor. The compression cylinder includes an intake port and a discharge port. The system also includes a piston assembly disposed within the compression cylinder. The piston assembly includes a piston, and a flow control member extending from the piston. The flow control member is configured to selectively block the intake port and the discharge port upon movement of the piston assembly relative to the compression cylinder.

Valveless reciprocating compressor

A system, in certain embodiments, includes a compression cylinder configured to mount to a reciprocating compressor. The compression cylinder includes an intake port and a discharge port. The system also includes a piston assembly disposed within the compression cylinder. The piston assembly includes a piston configured to selectively block the intake port upon movement of the piston assembly relative to the compression cylinder.

A system is provided that includes an exhaust system. The exhaust system includes a first and a second conduit configured to receive an exhaust from an engine having at least two cylinders and configured to operate at a range of less than 600 revolutions per minute. The exhaust system further includes a first chamber configured to receive the exhaust from the first and the second conduits, and a second chamber downstream of the first chamber and fluidly coupled to the first chamber by using a third conduit. The exhaust system additionally includes a third chamber downstream of the second chamber and fluidly coupled to the second chamber by using a fourth and a fifth conduit and an exhaust stack downstream of the third chamber and fluidly coupled to the third chamber.
