Personal care device handle

A container closure can include a collar, an actuator, and a biasing element. The collar can be configured to couple to a container. The collar can have a container facing surface and a second surface opposite the container facing surface. The actuator can be movable relative to the collar from a first position to a second position. The actuator can be in fluid communication with a cavity defined by the container such that the actuator dispenses material out of the container as the actuator moves from the first position to the second position. The biasing element can have a first portion coupled to the actuator and a second portion coupled to the second surface of the collar, the biasing element configured to bias the actuator toward the first position.

An oral care system includes a handle and a head, the handle having a proximal end and a distal end, the head being coupled to the distal end of the handle and including at least one oral surface engaging element. The oral care system further includes a mechanism including first and second housing portions, each including a first and a second end; and an applicator loaded with an oral care material and positioned within the mechanism. The first ends of the first and second housing portions are pivotably coupled to one another about a rotational axis so as to be alterable between: (1) a closed state in which the first and second housing portions form an enclosure that contains the applicator; and (2) an open state in which the second ends of the first and second housing portions are spaced from one another and the applicator is exposed.

In one aspect, the invention can be an oral care implement having: a body having a handle and a head coupled to a distal end of the handle, the body extending along a longitudinal axis; a store of oral care material located within the body; an applicator on the body, the applicator having a plurality of outlets in fluid communication with the store of oral care material, the plurality of outlets located on a concave dispensing surface of the applicator; and an actuator operably coupled to the store of oral care material to dispense the oral care material through the plurality of outlets.

Oral care implement with applicator

An oral care system includes a toothbrush having a head and a handle, a reservoir containing an oral care material, and an applicator in fluid communication with the reservoir for dispensing the oral care material from the reservoir. A cover is mounted on the toothbrush and movable from a closed position covering the applicator to an open position exposing the applicator. In the open position, a user may dispense and apply the oral care material to an oral surface. The applicator may take various forms including a porous pad or roller(s). In one embodiment, the cover may be mounted on the handle of the toothbrush.

An oral care system comprising: an oral care implement, comprising: a body comprising a handle and a head at an end of the handle, the head having at least one oral care element extending therefrom, and a cavity in the body, the body defining an opening of the cavity; and a plurality of dentifrice-free oral care devices in the cavity, each of the oral care devices comprising an oral care composition comprising an oral care agent. The oral care device may comprise a storage portion comprising a sealed vessel having an interior holding an oral care composition comprising an oral care agent; and an applicator connected to the storage portion; wherein the vessel or a seal thereof is breakable to place the interior of the vessel in fluid communication with the applicator.

A toothbrush comprising a body comprising a handle portion, a head portion and a longitudinal axis; a plurality of tooth cleaning elements extending from the head portion; a depression formed in an outer surface of the handle portion of the body, the depression comprising a floor; a power source disposed within the body; an electromagnetic radiation (EMR) source disposed within the handle portion and operably coupled to the power source, the EMR source configured to emit EMR from the floor of the depression; and a cover coupled to the handle portion so as to be alterable between: (1) a storage state in which the depression is enclosed by the cover; and (2) a use state in which the floor of the depression is exposed.

A toothbrush having an applicator for applying an oral care material to a users oral cavity. In one aspect, the toothbrush comprises a body comprising a handle portion and a head portion; a plurality of tooth cleaning elements extending from the head portion; and a treatment device detachably coupled to the body so as to be alterable between a storage state and a use state, the treatment device comprising: a housing; a store of an oral care material in the housing; an applicator fluidly coupled to the store of the oral care material; and a bite guard protruding from the housing adjacent the applicator.

A toothbrush having an applicator for dispensing an oral care material to a user's oral cavity. In one aspect, the toothbrush comprises a body comprising a handle portion, a head portion and a longitudinal axis; a plurality of tooth cleaning elements extending from the head portion; a store of an oral care material in the body; a depression formed in the handle portion of the body, the depression comprising a floor; and an applicator forming at least a portion of the floor of the depression, the applicator fluidly coupled to the store of the oral care material.

An oral care implement having an applicator and a cover member. In one aspect, the invention is an oral care implement comprising: a handle body extending along a longitudinal axis from a distal end to a proximal end; an applicator at the proximal end of the handle body, the applicator fluidly coupled to a reservoir containing an oral care material; a cover member having a cap portion, the cap portion comprising a resilient valve that is self-biased into a closed state so as to enclose the applicator; and wherein relative positioning between the applicator and the cover member can be altered between: (1) a storage state in which the cap portion of the cover member encloses the applicator and the resilient valve is in the closed state; and (2) an application state in which the applicator extends through the resilient valve and the resilient valve is in an open state.

Multi-chamber container

Provided is a multi-chamber container for dispensing flowable substances, comprising a body and a closure movable relative to the body. The body comprises respective storage chambers for storing respective flowable substances, and a vessel defining respective outlet zones having respective outlets and a separator between the outlet zones, and movable relative to the storage chambers between a first position and a second position. The body also comprises respective inlets that fluidly connect the respective storage chambers with the respective outlet zones, and first and second members that are each movable between (a) an inactive state, at which the respective member seals a respective inlet to isolate a respective storage chamber from a respective outlet zone and a respective outlet is open so that the respective outlet zone is in fluid communication with a downstream side of the respective outlet, and (b) an active state, at which the respective member seals the respective outlet to isolate the respective outlet zone from the downstream side of the respective outlet, and the respective inlet is open so that the respective storage chamber is in fluid communication with the respective outlet zone. Movement of the vessel between the first position and the second position causes the first and second members to move between their respective inactive and active states.
