The present invention describes a novel spring mechanism for a razor. In the razor, the spring member may be disposed in a movable member assembly, portions of which may be used for ejection or pivoting. The spring may be fully encompassed within the assembly and be placed within supporting structures therein. The spring is a loop-shaped element having overlapping end portions with free distal ends. Alternately, the spring member is tear drop shaped loop shape with distal ends that are spaced apart. The spring may be disposed within a first and/or second movable member such as an eject button or a pivot member. A retarding structure on the spring provides a retarding force which is based on the interaction of the retarding structure with a protrusion on an assembly portion to keep the spring orientation intact. The spring is desirably comprised of stainless steel and is a flat wire.

A handle for a shaving razor in which the handle comprises a frame and a movable member assembly operably coupled to the frame such that the frame is disposed between the movable member assembly and where the movable member assembly portions are configured to move both above and below the frame. The movement can be linear or rotational. The movable member assembly comprises one or more springs. A method of manufacturing a razor handle comprising the steps of providing an upper portion with one or more upper elements, providing a lower portion with one or more lower elements, securing the upper portion to the lower portion wherein a rigid member extends between the upper portion and the lower portion.

A method of assembling a razor cartridge. A housing is injection molded. An elastomer is co-injection molded to the housing forming a pair of laterally spaced apart blade stabilizers. A blade retention member is mounted to a top surface of the housing. A method of manufacturing a liquid dispensing razor by injection molding a gripping sleeve. A fluid reservoir having a port is blow molded. The fluid reservoir is inserted into the gripping sleeve. A handle body is injection molded. A shaving razor cartridge is mounted to the handle body. The gripping sleeve is joined to the fluid reservoir. The gripping sleeve is attached to the handle body. An air gap is provided between the gripping sleeve and the fluid reservoir facilitating evacuation of the delaminating bottle during use.

Method of manufacturing a liquid dispensing shaving razor

A shaving razor cartridge with a housing having a guard and a cap. A pair of laterally spaced apart blade stabilizers are on the housing. A primary blade member is positioned between the guard and the cap. A blade retention member is mounted to a top surface of the housing. The primary blade member has a cutting edge constrained between the blade retention member and the pair of laterally spaced apart blade stabilizers.

A personal care bottle with a fluid reservoir defining a chamber for holding a fluid. A fluid port is at a proximal end of the fluid reservoir. A gripping sleeve mounted to the fluid reservoir. The gripping sleeve has a locking tab configured to engage a handle.

A shaving razor with a handle and a housing, the housing dimensioned to receive at least one blade. The housing has a pair of spaced apart opposing parallel walls each defining a fully enclosed opening that extends completely through the respective walls. The handle includes a pair of semi-circular pin members that are disposed in the openings to mount the housing to the handle while allowing rinse water to travel through the openings to access the at least one blade.
