A winding device of a slitter capable of winding web material on a winding shaft supportedly disposed between a pair of side plates after the web material is slit, the winding shaft including two divided shafts positioned substantially end to end, the divided portions thereof are supported on an intermediate support member, the web material is wound on the winding shaft in that state, and after the web material is wound, the divided portions are moved in a direction apart from each other in the axial direction of the winding shaft to extract the winding shaft from a wound product, whereby, even if the width of the web material is large, the web material can be accurately wound, and after winding, the wound product and the winding shaft can be easily separated from each other.

Winding device of slitter

An apparatus for winding a web material such as paper or plastic film about a hollow core. The core is disposed between a pair of shafts spaced from and axially opposed and aligned with each other. The core is fixed at opposite ends to the shafts respectively. At least one of the shafts is connected to and rotated by a motor. Each of the shafts is comprised of an annular slide disposed around and coaxially to the shaft for axial movement relative to the shaft, and tapered surfaces formed on the circumferential outer surface of the slide. A plurality of tins are angularly spaced from each other along the circumference of the slide and engaged with the tapered surfaces. The tips are radially movable relative to the shaft. Each of the shafts includes a piston inserted into a bore in a cylinder, the piston being opposed to and engaged with the slide axially of the shaft, whereby the tips can be pressed against the inner surface of the core by the fluid pressure in the cylinder and under the effect of the tapered surfaces, to thereby fix the core to the shaft. Furthermore, at least one of the shafts is restrained from movement relative to the shaft in the rotational direction of the shaft to transmit a torque to the slide from the shaft, the tips on that slide also being restrained from movement relative to the slide in the rotational direction of the shaft to transmit torque to the tips from the slide.

Core securing device in web winding apparatus

An apparatus for slitting a web material such as paper, plastic film and the like into a plurality of web materials and then winding the web materials to form a plurality of rolls, the rolls being divided into two groups, one group of rolls being arranged side by side and coaxially to each other at the front of the apparatus, the other group of rolls being arranged side by side and coaxially to each other at the rear of the apparatus. Tracking rollers are disposed on the upper side of one group of rolls and the upper side of the other group of rolls. Actuators press the tracking rollers against the corresponding groups of rolls with a contact pressure therebetween. One group of rolls and the other group of rolls are supported by carriages. Drives moves the carriages downwardly in response to the increases in diameters of the rolls to thereby enable the rolls to increase in diameters.

Winding apparatus

A roll slitting and rewinding machine apparatus for exchanging rewound rolls comprises a frame holding a plurality of slitted strip rewinding roll supporting means arranged in two rows and a carrier rotatably supporting said frame so that said frame is movable from a vertically arranged position and a horizontally arranged position. The carrier being movable from a forward position to a retracted position, whereby when said carrier takes said forward position with said frame taking said first position the rewinding rolls are in condition of rewinding operation while when said carrier takes said retracted position with said frame taking said second position the rewinding rolls are removed from their respective support means.
