Provided is a method of producing a composite having high strength and high thermal conductivity. The method includes: an alloy preparation step including preparing an alloy which is a solid solution containing α-Fe as a solvent and at least one type of α-phase stabilizing element as a solute; a first mixing step including mixing at least one type of α-phase stabilizing element in powder form and SiC to prepare a first mixture; a second mixing step including mixing the alloy and the first mixture to prepare a second mixture; and a sintering step including sintering the second mixture.

Method for manufacturing αFe—SiC composite material, and αFe—SiC composite material

Provided is a Fe-based sintered body which has both of a high hardness and a high thermal conductivity and which can be more stably produced. The Fe-based sintered body includes: a matrix () containing Fe as a main component; and a hard phase () dispersed in the matrix (). The matrix () is formed in a network shape and contains αFe. The hard phase () contains TiC.

To provide a vehicle front body structure including a side sill that extends in a vehicle front-rear direction and is located behind a position where a front wheel is disposed and a torque box extending from a front end of the side sill toward an inside in a vehicle width direction. In the vehicle front body structure, the torque box includes an upper surface portion disposed at a substantially same height as an upper surface of the side sill and a lower surface portion disposed at a substantially same height as a lower surface of the side sill. A reinforcing member is provided in an internal space surrounded by the upper surface portion and the lower surface portion of the torque box.

A vehicle front body structure includes: a dash panel; an apron reinforcement extending forward on an outside in the vehicle width direction of an engine room; a suspension housing coupled to the apron reinforcement in front of the dash panel; a cowl side panel extending in a front-rear direction between a rear portion of the suspension housing and the dash panel in side view of the vehicle, the cowl side panelconstituting a wall portion on the outside in the vehicle width direction of the engine room; and a first reinforcing member dividing a space surrounded by the apron reinforcement and the cowl side panel back and forth.

There are provided a hinge pillar extending in a vehicle vertical direction, an apron reinforcement extending forward from the hinge pillar, a connecting member provided below the apron reinforcement and connecting the hinge pillar and the apron reinforcement in a brace shape, a dash panel provided in back of the connecting member and extending in a vehicle width direction, a wheel house provided in front of the dash panel, and an apron rear panel provided on an inward side, in the vehicle width direction, of and closely to the connecting member and connecting a rear portion of the wheel house and the dash panel.

A vehicle-body structure of a vehicle includes a first frame forming a closed cross-section portion, a reinforcing member disposed in the closed cross-section portion and connected to the first frame, and another vehicle-body member connected to an outer surface of the first frame. A connection portion of the first frame and the reinforcing member includes a rigid joint portion where the first frame and the reinforcing member are joined, and a flexible joint portion where the first frame and the reinforcing member are joined, with a damper member being disposed therebetween. The other vehicle-body member is connected to the first frame in a manner such that at least a part of the other vehicle-body member overlaps the flexible joint portion in a thickness direction of the first frame, and has a high rigidity portion that enhances rigidity at the part that overlaps the flexible joint portion.

A front vehicle-body structure of a vehicle comprises a hinge pillar, an apron reinforcement, a suspension housing, a side sill, and a connecting member which connects the apron reinforcement to the hinge pillar in a brace shape and connecting the apron reinforcement to a front portion of the side sill. The connecting member includes first and second bending portions which are positioned between a rear face portion and a side face portion and between a forward flange and the side face portion, respectively, and the apron reinforcement and the side sill are continuous to each other via at least one of the first and second bending portions.

A body structure of a vehicle includes: a first panel and a second panel forming a closed cross-sectional portion; a partition panel; a first reinforcement body disposed between the first panel and the partition panel, and includes a first panel joint portion joined to the first panel, and a first flange portion joined to the partition panel; and a second reinforcement body which is disposed between the second panel and the partition panel, and includes a second panel joint portion joined to the second panel, and a second flange portion joined to the partition panel. A joint portion includes a rigid coupling portion in which the first panel and the first panel joint portion are coupled while being in contact with each other, and a flexible coupling portion in which the partition panel and the first flange portion are coupled to each other while interposing a damping member therebetween.

There is provided an automotive vehicle which comprises a side door, impact bars provided at the side door, a side inner panel, a first reinforcing member provided to extend along a rear side of a peripheral portion of an entrance portion and joined to an outside of the side inner panel so as to form a first closed cross section together with the side inner panel, and second reinforcing members joined to an outside of the first reinforcing member so as to form second closed cross sections together with the first reinforcing member, the second reinforcing members being configured to overlap with the impact bars, in a side view, when the side door closes the entrance portion.

Side vehicle-body structure of automotive vehicle

A body structure of a vehicle includes a first panel and a second panel that form a closed cross-sectional portion, a partitioning panel that partitions the closed cross-sectional portion, and a reinforcement member disposed between the first panel and the partitioning panel, and includes a panel joining portion joined to the first panel, and a flange portion joined to the partitioning panel. A joining portion formed by the reinforcement member includes a rigid coupling portion in which the first panel and the panel joining portion are coupled to each other while being in contact with each other, and a flexible coupling portion in which the partitioning panel and the flange portion are coupled, with a damping member being provided therebetween. The partitioning panel includes an extended portion that extends from a vicinity of the flexible coupling portion toward the second panel and is joined to the second panel.

A vehicle body side part structure for a vehicle includes a side sill connected to the lower part of a pillar, and a partition member provided within the side sill. The partition member includes a partition wall for dividing a closed sectional space of the side sill in the vehicle front-rear direction, and joint flange joined to the inner surface of a side sill inner member. The partition wall includes a ridge extending from a side of the side sill outer reinforcement to a side of the side sill inner member and connected to the joint flange. A widening portion is formed at an end of on the ridge close to the joint flange. This configuration makes it possible to improve the load transmission performance at the time of a side collision of the vehicle.

Structure for side part of body of vehicle

There are provided a pair of roof rails, a roof panel, a front header, a pair of front pillars, a windshield provided between the front header and the front pillars, a front inclination roof reinforcement extending rearward, a front portion of which is joined to the front header, and partition members provided inside the front header at respective positions which do not overlap with, in a vehicle width direction, the front inclination roof reinforcement. Thereby, vertical vibrations of the front header caused by vertical vibrations of the windshield can be suppressed with a light structure, so that the comfortability of the ride (the vibration damping performance) can be improved.

Upper vehicle-body structure of vehicle

There are provided a pair of roof rails, a roof panel, a front header, a pair of front pillars, and a pair of center pillars, and a pair of front inclination roof reinforcements provided at a lower face of the roof panel. Each of the front inclination roof reinforcements is configured to extend obliquely from its front portion which is joined to the front header to its rear portion which is positioned on an outward side, in a vehicle width direction, relative to the front portion and joined to a portion located in the vicinity of a joint portion of the center pillar and the roof rail. Thereby, the torsional rigidity of a vehicle body can be properly improved, so that the maneuverability/stability of a vehicle can be improved.

A pair of right-and-left roof rails, a roof panel provided between the roof rails, a roof reinforcement extending in a vehicle width direction below the roof panel, a center pillar, and a gusset joined to an end portion, in the vehicle width direction, of the roof reinforcement are provided. Further, a node-shaped plate member is provided inside the roof rail at a position which overlaps the roof reinforcement longitudinally and vertically. Accordingly, buckling of a portion of the roof reinforcement which is located in the vicinity of a roof side can be restrained.

A rear apron panel is provided between a suspension tower and a dash panel. A vertical branch brace is provided to extend upwardly from a front side frame along an inner face of a suspension tower to form a closed cross section with a rear portion of the suspension tower. A deformation restraint member interconnects the apron frame and the vertical branch brace. Accordingly, there is provided a vehicle-body front structure which can restrain the apron frame from deforming outwardly in the vehicle width direction in the vehicle frontal collision to prevent the dash panel from moving back into the vehicle compartment too much.
