A motor includes a stator that includes an annular core back, teeth extending radially outside from the core back and being arranged in a circumferential direction, an insulator covering at least a portion of the teeth, and a coil defined by a conductive wire wound around each of the teeth via the insulator. A radially inside surface of the core back includes core back protrusions extending radially inside and provided with a space therebetween in the circumferential direction. The insulator includes an annular upper lid portion extending radially inside farther than a radially inside surface of the core back at an axially upper side of the core back and a side wall portion extending to an axially lower side from a lower surface of the upper lid portion. At least a portion of the side wall portion is disposed within the space between the adjacent core back protrusions.

Motor

A motor includes a stationary portion, a rotating portion that includes a shaft rotating about a vertically extending central axis, and a bearing portion that rotatably supports the shaft with respect to the stationary portion. The stationary portion includes a cylindrical bearing housing portion that holds the bearing portion, a stator that is radially outward of the bearing housing portion, a circuit board that is below the stator, and an annular spacer that is between the stator and the bearing housing portion. The stator includes a stator core that includes an annular core back and multiple teeth that extend radially outward from the core back and are arranged in a circumferential direction, an insulating film that covers a surface of the teeth, extends radially inward from a lower surface of the teeth, and covers a lower outer edge portion of the core back, and a coil provided on the teeth.

A motor includes a stationary portion, a rotating portion that includes a shaft rotating about a vertically extending central axis, and a bearing portion that rotatably supports the shaft with respect to the stationary portion. The stationary portion includes a cylindrical bearing housing portion that holds the bearing portion, a stator that is radially outward of the bearing housing portion and includes a stator core, a circuit board that is below the stator core, and an annular spacer that is between the stator core and the bearing housing portion. The spacer includes multiple side wall portions that contact a radially inner surface of the stator core and a flange portion that protrudes radially outward more than the side wall portion and contacts a lower surface of the stator core.

A motor includes a rotating portion with a shaft extending along a rotation axis and a rotor that rotates together with the shaft, a stationary portion with a stator located radially outside of the rotor and a magnetic sensor located above the rotor to detect a rotational position of the rotor. The rotor includes a rotor core, a rotor magnet located radially outside of the rotor core and under the magnetic sensor, in contact with the rotor core or located opposite to the rotor core with a first gap therebetween. A recessed portion is recessed from each of an upper end surface and an outer circumferential surface of the rotor core. An inner circumferential surface of a lower end portion of the rotor holder is fixed to a radially inner surface of the recessed portion.

A motor includes a shaft, a rotor magnet, an armature, an upper bracket, a lower bracket, and a fixing member. An insulator includes magnetic pole tooth insulating portions, each of which covers a separate one of magnetic pole teeth, and a core back insulating portion configured to cover at least portions of upper and lower end surfaces of a core back. A stator core includes a fixing member arranging portion. The core back insulating portion includes a core back insulating projecting portion configured to project in an axial direction away from a surface covering the core back, and including a radially inner surface located radially inward of a radially inner end of the fixing member arranging portion. The core back insulating projecting portion includes a cut portion at a position radially opposed to the fixing member.

Motor with integrated slot liner and bobbin with guides for conductor coils

A motor includes an armature arranged radially outside a rotor magnet, and a casing configured to fix the armature and hold upper and lower bearings configured to rotatably support a shaft at a radial center thereof. The armature includes a stator core, an insulator arranged to cover the stator core, coils each of which is defined by a conducting wire wound around a separate one of magnetic pole teeth with the insulator intervening therebetween, and passage lines each of which is arranged circumferentially between adjacent ones of the magnetic pole teeth to electrically connect one of the coils and another one of the coils with each other. The insulator includes magnetic pole tooth insulating portions arranged to cover a separate one of the magnetic pole teeth; and a core back insulating portion integral with each magnetic pole tooth insulating portion.

A motor includes a rotating portion including a shaft and a rotor, and a stationary portion including a stator and a magnetic sensor. The magnetic sensor is located above the rotor to detect the rotational position of the rotor. The rotor includes a tubular rotor core defined by laminated steel sheets; a rotor magnet including an upper end surface at an axial level higher than an axial level of an upper end surface of the rotor core; and a rotor holder including a ferromagnetic body, and above the rotor core and radially inside of the rotor magnet. Each of the rotor core and an outer cylindrical portion of the rotor holder is in contact with the rotor magnet or opposite to the rotor magnet with a gap intervening therebetween.

A motor includes a shaft, an annular rotor magnet, an armature arranged to cover the rotor magnet, an upper bracket fixed to an axial upper portion of the armature, and a lower bracket fixed to an axial lower portion of the armature. The armature includes an annular core-back, a plurality of magnetic pole teeth protruding radially inward from the core-back, an insulator arranged to cover the magnetic pole teeth, and a coil wound around the magnetic pole teeth through the insulator. The insulator includes an annular core-back insulating portion arranged radially outward of the coil and extended axially upward. The upper bracket is fixed by a plurality of fixing members positioned radially inward of an outer circumferential surface of the core-back.

Motor including brackets and fixing members

An inner-rotor motor includes a shaft, a rotor magnet, a stator, a housing including a housing tubular portion extending along a rotation axis, a cap, and a bearing portion. The cap is located above the housing, and includes a cap bottom portion and a cap tubular portion which extends downward from the cap bottom portion. A core back of the stator includes a tubular outer circumferential surface including a plurality of stator contact portions in contact with the housing tubular portion. The stator contact portions are spaced from one another in a circumferential direction. The cap tubular portion includes a plurality of cap contact portions in contact with the housing and spaced from one another in the circumferential direction. At least one of the cap contact portions is located at a circumferential position different from a circumferential position of each stator contact portion.

Motor and blower

A motor includes a shaft supported by upper and lower bearings and rotatable about an axis; a rotor magnet fixed to the shaft; a stator arranged radially outside and opposite to the rotor magnet with a gap therebetween; an upper bracket holding the upper bearing; and a lower bracket holding the lower bearing. The upper bracket includes an upper cylindrical cover press fitted to a stator core from above, an upper bearing holding portion, and a top plate portion arranged to join the upper cylindrical cover and the upper bearing holding portion. The lower bracket includes a lower cylindrical cover press fitted to the stator core from below, a lower bearing holding portion, and a bottom plate portion arranged to join the lower cylindrical cover and the lower bearing holding portion. Each of the upper and lower brackets is fixed to the stator core through press fitting.

Inner-rotor motor including preload member

In an inner-rotor motor, an armature includes a stator core including an annular core back and magnetic pole teeth projecting from the core back; an insulator covering an upper and lower surface of each magnetic pole tooth of the stator core; and coils defined by a conducting wire wound around a separate one of the magnetic pole teeth with the insulator intervening therebetween. The insulator includes at least one protruding portion. An upper end of each protruding portion is arranged at an axial level higher than an axial level of a lower surface of a circuit board. The circuit board includes at least one penetration portion each of which is defined by a cut or a hole, and in each of which a corresponding one of the at least one protruding portion is arranged.

Motor having wiring arrangement with respect to stator insulation and circuit

A motor includes a shaft, a bearing arranged to support the shaft such that the shaft is rotatable about a central axis, a rotating body fixed to the shaft and including a rotor magnet arranged in an outer circumference thereof, a stator arranged radially outward of the rotor magnet, a circuit board arranged to be perpendicular to the central axis on one axial side of the rotating body, and an encoder arranged to detect rotation of the rotating body. The encoder includes a reflection pattern arranged on a surface of the rotating body which is opposed to the circuit board, and a reflective rotation detection sensor arranged on the circuit board to detect the rotation of the rotating body by irradiating the reflection pattern with light.

Motor having an encoder to detect rotation of a rotating body

A motor includes a stator, a bearing, a cover, a shaft, a rotor holder and a rotor magnet. The cover member includes an outer cylinder portion arranged to support the stator on the inner surface thereof, an inner cylinder portion arranged to support the bearing on the inner surface thereof and a bottom portion arranged to interconnect the lower end of the outer cylinder portion and the lower end of the inner cylinder portion. The stator includes a stator core, an insulator arranged to cover the stator core and coils. The cover member is preferably formed by press-forming a single metal plate member. The insulator includes a protrusion portion positioned radially outwards of the coils to protrude upwards higher than the upper end of the outer cylinder portion. The upper ends of the coils are positioned higher than the upper end of the outer cylinder portion.

Motor and motor manufacturing method

An internal combustion engine according to this invention is provided with intake ports each of which is formed to guide a flow of inducted air in a particular direction. Each intake port includes, in the vicinity of its corresponding intake opening to a combustion chamber, a bent port portion bent at a greater curvature than a port portion on a side upstream of the bent port portion. The bent port portion has a greater inner diameter than the inner diameter of the corresponding intake opening, whereby air can be inducted in a sufficient amount without deterioration to the directing function for air to be inducted into the combustion chamber.

Internal combustion engine

A stratified burning internal combustion engine according to this invention is equipped with an intake port and a fuel feed device so that stratified tumble flows of different fuel concentrations can be formed in a combustion chamber. An ignition device is provided in the combustion chamber to ignite at least one of the tumble flows, said at least one tumble flow being rich in fuel. To promote the stratified tumble flows, a top wall of a piston has an inclined wall. This makes it possible to strengthen the tumble flows, whereby the stratification of an air-fuel mixture in the combustion chamber can be improved further to permit lean burn at a larger air/fuel ratio.
