A base station of a network provides a user equipment (UE) with information relating to monitoring a Physical Downlink Control Channel (PDCCH) of multiple component carrier (CCs) in a carrier aggregation (CA) scheme. The base station configures a first CC and a second CC of a CA combination for a user equipment (UE) and provides the UE with information for the CA combination, wherein the information comprises an indication whether the first CC and the second CC are collocated.

Physical downlink control channel monitoring in collocation scenarios

An example method for wireless communication includes: receiving, by a wireless station, an uplink transmission from a wireless device of a set of two or more wireless devices; determining, by the wireless station, a need for a higher priority uplink transmission; determining, by the wireless station, a minimum cancellation processing time for the set of two or more wireless devices; and transmitting an uplink cancellation request to the set of two or more wireless devices based on the minimum cancellation processing time.

System and method for simultaneous UL cancellation and UL CI monitoring

A user equipment (UE) monitors a Physical Downlink Control Channel (PDCCH) in multiple component carriers (CC). The UE determines if the UE is operating in carrier aggregation (CA) mode having a first CC in a first frequency band and a second CC in a second frequency band. When the UE is operating in CA with a first CC in the first frequency band and the second CC in the second frequency band, the UE determines a span pattern for PDCCH symbols being received on the first and second CC and selects a PDCCH monitoring type based on, at least, the span pattern. A UE also determines if a first CC and a second CC of a CA combination are collocated and selects a PDCCH monitoring type based on, at least, the determination of whether the first and second CC are collocated.
