Described herein are an adapter kit for non-destructively adapting a cooler having a melt water drain hole into a cold tap, a cooler configured as a cold tap, and a method for non-destructively adapting a cooler having a melt water drain hole into a cold tap. In one example, the adapter kit allows the cooler to be configured as a cold tap, while being readily removable to allow the cooler to return to it's undamaged, original form.

A dredge having easily replaceable arms, a composite dredge which is configurable to laterally couple at least two hubs, and methods for using the same are provided. In one embodiment, a dredge includes plurality of arms having at least one teaser attachment and hub configured to removably retain the arms in a radial orientation. The hub includes a retainer cap configured to removably mate with a body in a manner that captures a first end of each of the plurality of arms to the hub in a cantilevered orientation. The arms are freely replaceable from the body upon the removal of the cap.

Generally, a method and apparatus for the automated acquisition of information related to fishing is provided. In one embodiment, a data acquisition system is provided comprising a memory, a processor coupled to the memory, a communication port for coupling to a vessel navigation system and a switch, which when actuated, causes information retrieved from the vessel navigation system to be stored in memory. The information, which includes attributes associated with the event, may be recall for viewing and analysis. The information may also be exported from the data acquisition system to a remotely stored database.
