A cable distribution module comprises an unsealed module that includes a base, a cover, and one or more outdoor connectors. The cover is attachable to the base to define an interior of the unsealed module. The cover includes a trunk end cap having at least one hole configured to receive a trunk cable and extending into the interior of the unsealed module; The cover includes one or more breakout end caps oriented at an angle away from a normal of the base. Each breakout end cap includes one or more openings extending into the interior of the unsealed module. The outdoor connectors are supported in openings of the breakout end caps, and provide connection points for exterior cabling.

Fiber distribution module

An apparatus forms a module. The apparatus includes a housing configured to load the module through a front end of a panel. The apparatus includes a connector cluster. The apparatus includes a set of tabs corresponding to a set of securing members that secure the module to a panel.

Optical fiber management system

An apparatus implements a cable distribution module. The apparatus includes a trunk cable with inner cables and includes breakout cables that correspond to the inner cables. The apparatus further includes a transition breakout between the trunk cable and the breakout cables and includes an outdoor rated path that includes the trunk cable, the transition breakout, and the one or more breakout cables. The apparatus further includes connectors to which the breakout cables are connected and an unsealed module supporting the one or more connectors.

A shielded electrical connector is adapted to be secured within an opening in a panel. The connector includes a dielectric housing having at least one cavity extending interiorly from a front mating face of the housing for receiving a complementary mating plug connector. A shield is stamped and formed from sheet metal material in a configuration to embrace at least a portion of the housing. The shield includes a generally planar wall insertable into the opening in the panel. A cantilevered tab is struck from the wall and has a secured end and a free end such that the free end extends from the secured end in a direction generally transverse to a direction of insertion of the connector into the panel. The cantilevered tab is generally U-shaped with leg portions of the tab extending generally parallel to the front mating face of the dielectric housing.

Shielded electrical connector

An electrical connector is provided for mounting a microphone of the disc type which has opposite flat faces joined by a cylindrical periphery. The connector includes a dielectric housing having a cylindrical microphone insertion cavity defined by a rigid arcuate wall portion at one side of the cavity and a flexible wall portion at an opposite side of the cavity. The distance between the rigid arcuate wall portion and the flexible wall portion is less than the diameter of the disc shaped microphone so that the flexible wall portion resiliently engages the cylindrical periphery of the microphone to establish an interference fit therewith. Terminals project into the cavity for engaging appropriate mating terminals on the microphone.

Electrical connector for a microphone

A surface mount electrical connector is adapted for mounting to the surface of a printed circuit board in either of two orientations generally perpendicular to each other. A molded dielectric housing has first and second board mounting faces disposed generally perpendicular to each other. A first boardlock-receiving passage is molded in the housing communicating with the first board mounting face and extending in a given direction which defines the direction of parting of a pair of mold dies for molding the housing. A second boardlock-receiving passage is molded in the housing generally perpendicular to the first passage and communicating with the second board mounting face. Each passage includes a set of bearing walls for engaging a boardlock member inserted into the respective passage, with no one bearing wall in either set thereof being in alignment with any other bearing wall in the other set thereof in said given direction. A universal boardlock member is insertable into either passage for selectively mounting either board mounting face of the housing to the printed circuit board.
