A method and apparatus for repairing overhead conveyor chain by removing a section of track, locating a mobile repair station under the exposed track, and effecting the needed repair on the chain by cycling the intact chain past the mobile repair station and repairing it as it passes. Repair embodiments include re-swaging and repair, replacement or rotation of chain links.

Method and apparatus for repairing conveyor chain

A cover apparatus can cover an electrical insulator and an electrical conductor. The cover apparatus includes one or more leg sections for covering a portion of the electrical conductor. The cover apparatus includes a cover section coupled to the one or more leg sections and covering a portion of the electrical insulator. The cover section includes a body portion and an adjustable portion coupled to the body portion at a coupling location. The adjustable portion can be adjusted such that a dimension of the adjustable portion is adjusted according to a dimension of the electrical insulator. An example method of forming a cover apparatus for covering an electrical insulator and an electrical conductor is also provided.

Adjustable cover for conductors and insulators

A cover apparatus can cover an electrical insulator and an electrical conductor. The cover apparatus includes a leg section that covers a portion of the electrical conductor. A cover section covers a portion of the electrical insulator. The cover section can include a body portion that is coupled to the leg section at a first coupling location. The cover section includes an adjustable portion coupled to the body portion at a second coupling location located on an opposite side of the body portion relative to the first coupling location. The adjustable portion can be adjusted such that a dimension of the adjustable portion is adjusted according to a dimension of the electrical insulator. A method of forming a cover apparatus for covering an electrical insulator and an electrical conductor is also provided.

Dimensionally adjustable cover for conductors and insulators

A cover apparatus is provided for covering an electrical insulator and a conductor. The cover apparatus includes a first cover portion extending along a first axis. The first cover portion includes a first segment covering a first portion of the electrical insulator and a second segment coupled to the first segment and covering a first portion of the conductor. The cover apparatus includes a second cover portion extending along a second axis. The second cover portion includes a third segment movably attached to the first segment and a fourth segment coupled to the third segment and covering a portion of the conductor. An example method of forming a cover apparatus for covering an electrical insulator and a conductor is also provided.

Movably adjustable cover for conductors and insulators

A fiber retention device is provided for retention of fibers such as optical fibers, tubing, cables, buffer tubes and other elongate objects. The retention device includes, generally, a mounting retainer and a resilient sleeve. The mounting retainer is formed of a resilient material and defines one or more generally U-shaped support channels. The resilient sleeve is positioned in the U-shaped support channel and defines at least one expandable passageway for receiving a fiber therein. The passageway diameter is less than the fiber diameter in a pre-load orientation or relaxed condition prior to inserting the fiber into the passageway. The support channel selectively includes a plurality of tabs for locating the sleeve therein including tabs on a bottom wall for resisting relative horizontal movement and tabs on a side wall for resisting relative vertical movement of the sleeve within the channel. The sleeve is positively located by the channel, and the fiber is retained and strain relieved by the elastomer sleeve. A mounting flange is provided for coupling a plurality of mounting retainers in a coupled orientation as desired.

An optical fiber splice case particularly adapted for providing fiber optic links directly to a home, business, et al. is provided wherein at least one enclosure base has at least one cover member selectively sealingly engaged with at least one side of the at least one enclosure base. The at least one enclosure base includes at least one bulkhead having a selective plurality of optical fiber ports therethrough.

Convertible fiber closure platform

An optical fiber splice case particularly adapted for providing fiber optic links directly to a home, business, et al. is provided wherein an enclosure base has a dividing wall defining a drop chamber on a first side of the wall and a splicing chamber on a second side of the wall. A first and a second cover member is selectively sealingly engaged with opposing sides of the enclosure base. The enclosure base includes a bulkhead member having a plurality of optical fiber ports therethrough.

Optical fiber splice case

A cable splice enclosure assembly for enclosing and storing cable splices includes a housing member having a closed end and an open end which defines a storage chamber therebetween. An end plate is received in the open end. The end plate is axially spaced from the closed end. The end plate includes an end plate body and a plurality of selectively removable cable caps for accessing individual cables passing through openings defined by the end plate. A plurality of sealing walls are selectively positionable in the openings for blocking the openings when not being used to receive the cables in the openings. A piercable grommet is disposed in a further opening found in the end plate for selectively receiving a ground or other electrical wire therethrough to seal the wire with the end plate.

Fiber closure system

A cable closure assembly includes a rotatable collar secured to an end plate for rotating the end plate with respect to the closure. Drop ports and express ports are provided within the end plate to accommodate either cut or uncut cables within the closure. Grommet and cap tools are provided which consist of two pieces to be installed over cables after the cables are inserted into the closure. A modular closure system is provided including a dome closure and extender or expander closures to increase storage and splicing area within the dome closure. A sliding and locking bracket allows for movement and pivoting of splice trays to access splice trays below other stacked trays. An extender for a strength member bracket accommodates various lengths of strength members on the cable fiber cable. A bracket on an end of a rigid bar member permits wrapping of the cable within the closure and positions the cable within the closure.

Fiber optic cable closure and assembly

A photographic recording arrangement to be mounted in a motor vehicle, particularly for use by law enforcement personnel, is described. The arrangement includes a camera of specific construction which is mounted on the dashboard and is capable of automatically taking, on a reel of film, sequential frames of pictures of the vehicle under observation, thus recording the license plate thereof, as well as the behavior of the driver handling the vehicle and, in another sequence, photographically recording, in a given number of frames, the speedometer reading of the car in which the camera is mounted.

Dual path photographic camera for use in motor vehicles

An accessory device for lighting fixtures is described. It comprises a pair of telescoping tubular housings having at one end a standard screw terminal adapted to fit a conventional electric socket and, at the other end, a standard electric lamp socket. Electrically conductive connections are provided within the housings for interconnecting the end terminals at any position of extension of the housings.
