A shredder includes a shredder box and a shredder rotor positioned within an interior of the shredder box. The shredder rotor is rotatable about a rotor axis and has a plurality of rotor teeth. An access door is pivotally moveable between an open position and a closed position, the access door defining a side wall of the shredder box when in the closed position. A shredder comb is positioned at an interior side of the access door and includes a plurality of shredder comb teeth. When the access door is in the closed position, the shredder comb is positioned at a shredding location to intermesh with the plurality of rotor teeth for shredding material input to the shredder box. The plurality of shredder comb teeth are removable and reversible for use in two orientations.

A stump cutter tooth assembly includes a stump cutter tooth held by a pocket member that includes an arcuate shoulder having one or more tabs. A stump cutter tooth is adapted to be mounted on the pocket member. The stump cutter tooth includes a tooth body having one or more recesses and an arcuate outer surface. The arcuate outer surface of the stump cutter tooth is adapted to abut against the arcuate shoulder of the pocket member to prevent unwanted movement of the stump cutter tooth relative to the pocket member during the cutting operation. The one or more recesses of the stump cutter tooth cooperate with the one or more tabs of the pocket member to provide an anti-rotation and locating feature.

A hammer support system for a rotary tool has a hammer receiver including a first alignment opening having a first curved alignment surface. A first wedge part has a curved surface, and a second wedge part is configured to interact with the first wedge part. A fastener is provided for drawing down the first wedge part against the second wedge part such that the curved surface of the first wedge part engages the first curved alignment surface to self-align the first and second wedge parts as the first wedge part is drawn down by the fastener.

The present disclosure relates to a material reducing machine convertible between a grinding configuration and a chipping configuration. The material reducing machine includes a rotary component that is rotatable about an axis of rotation, the rotary component defining a grinding configuration boundary that extends at least partially around the axis of rotation. The material reducing machine also includes a plurality of hammers secured to the rotary component, the hammers including end portions that project outwardly beyond the grinding configuration boundary of the rotary component. Furthermore, the material reducing machine includes a boundary enlarging structure that mounts over the rotary component, the boundary enlarging structure defining a chipping configuration boundary that extends at least partially around the axis of rotation when the boundary enlarging structure is mounted over the rotary component, the chipping configuration boundary being positioned outside the grinding configuration boundary. The boundary enlarging structure is not mounted over the rotary component when the material reducing machine is in the grinding configuration and the boundary enlarging structure is mounted over the rotary component when the material reducing machine is in the chipping configuration.

A machine having a snag anvil that prevents an excessive intake rate of material into a grinding or chipping chamber of the machine. The snag anvil includes a recessed impact plane located between longitudinal edges that snag material entering the grinding chamber at an excess intake rate. The machine also includes an open feed roller constructed to prevent material plugging, and a sealing arrangement that eliminates the build up of chip piles underneath the machine.

A rotary drum having a cutter extending outward from the outer diameter of the rotary drum. The rotary drum further includes a sleeve. The cutter is retained in a position relative to the drum by at least one block having a surface that wedges the cutter and/or interconnected member against the sleeve.

A trenching bridge mounting interface for a trenching machine that is adjustable to alter the effective length of a fixed length bridge so as to accommodate trenching bars of different lengths. The effective length of the bridge is adjusted between a short length and a long length by reversing of the prime mover mounting structure.
