A barrier movement operator controls movement of a movable barrier. The barrier movement operator includes a head unit, including a chassis, for commanding the movable barrier to perform movable barrier functions. A plurality of closely mounted light emitting elements are fixedly mounted onto the head unit. A heat sink is in thermal communication with the set of light emitting elements and with the chassis of the barrier movement operator to dissipate thermal energy from the set of light emitting elements. A controller is utilized for controlling the head unit to provide power to the set of light emitting elements.

Permanently installed light emitting elements for a barrier operator

A system is disclosed including a transmitter and receiver for the communication of security codes which may be validated at the receiver to operate equipment. In one embodiment, the transmitter transmits a security code at two frequencies contemporaneously to the receiver which may receive both frequencies and resolve the security code therefrom. The receiver may lock onto one frequency to the exclusion of the other frequency when parts of a security code are detected. In another embodiment, the transmitter selectively transmits security codes at a default frequency which is selected because of a recorded count of prior apparent successful transmission.

Multi-frequency security code transmission and reception

A virtual electronic back-up alignment apparatus that consists of a housing that provides a means for fixedly securing a light emitting source parallel to a vehicle and a means for activating the light emitting source and generating a light beam. A free rotating mirror assembly receives the light beam from the light emitting source and reflects the light beam into a directional guideline towards the trailer forming a virtual tow point for enabling the user to obtain the perfect alignment of the vehicle hitch to the trailer tow hitch. The free rotating mirror assembly comprises an orientation balancer, a mirror, and a pair of wheels encapsulated within a hollow, transparent tube secured to the housing for maintaining a parallel orientation between the light emitting source and the alignment point on the trailer.

Virtual electronic back-up alignment apparatus

A method and apparatus for reducing the effects of relative intensity noise in a diode laser system by sensing the light output of diode laser system and producing an electrical feedback signal; amplifying the feedback signal over at least two different parts of a frequency band that includes the Relaxation Oscillation Frequency of the laser system; shifting the phase of each of the amplified feedback signals over the frequency band; and superimposing onto the current supplied to the laser diode a current signal that is a function of each of the phase shifted and amplified feedback signals.

Laser multiple feedback control circuit and method

A feedback circuit, comprising: means for producing from a laser light output a feedback signal which is representative of the noise and frequency dependent output intensity of the laser light output; means for applying a phase shift to the feedback signal; means for converting the feedback signal to a level signal which is representative of the noise in the laser light output; amplifying means for amplifying the phase shifted feedback signal as a function of the level signal to produce a current gain signal; and means for superimposing the current gain signal on the current flowing through the laser diode.
