This invention relates to compounds of formula I their salts, and pharmaceutically acceptable derivatives thereof, pharmaceutical compositions comprising these compounds and their use in the treatment of picornavirus infections in mammals, as well as novel intermediates useful in the preparation of the compounds of formula I.

Antiviral agents

The present invention provides a compound of Formula (I), or a pharmaceutical acceptable derivative, salt or prodrug thereof. Further provided is a method of treatment of cancer in a subject comprising administering to said subject an effective amount of a compound of Formula (I), or a pharmaceutical acceptable derivative, salt or prodrug thereof. Further provided is the use of a compound of Formula (I), or a pharmaceutical acceptable derivative, salt or prodrug thereof in the preparation of a medicament for the treatment of cancer. In addition, the present invention also provides a pharmaceutical composition comprising a compound of Formula (I), or a pharmaceutical acceptable derivative, salt or prodrug thereof.

Anti-cancer agents

In one aspect, the present invention provides for a compound of Formula I in which in Formula I, the variables X, X, X, X, R, B, L, E, A and the subscript n are as defined herein. In another aspect, the present invention provides for pharmaceutical compositions comprising compounds of Formula I as well as methods for using compounds of Formula I for the treatment of diseases and conditions (e.g., cancer, thrombocythemia, etc) characterized by the expression or over-expression of Bcl-2 anti-apoptotic proteins, e.g., of anti-apoptotic Bcl-xproteins.

Compounds and methods of use

The present invention provides a compound of Formula (I), or a pharmaceutical acceptable derivative, salt or prodrug thereof. Further provided is a method of treatment of cancer in a subject comprising administering to said subject an effective amount of a compound of Formula (I), or a pharmaceutical acceptable derivative, salt or prodrug thereof. Further provided is the use of a compound of Formula (I), or a pharmaceutical acceptable derivative, salt or prodrug thereof in the preparation of a medicament for the treatment of cancer. In addition, the present invention also provides a pharmaceutical composition comprising a compound of Formula (I), or a pharmaceutical acceptable derivative, salt or prodrug thereof. 

The present invention relates to inhibitors of insulin-regulated aminopeptidase (IRAP) and methods for inhibiting same, as well as compositions comprising said inhibitors. In particular, the inhibitors of the present invention may be useful in therapeutic applications including enhancing memory and learning functions.

In one aspect, the present invention provides for a compound of Formula I in which the variable X, X, X, X, Q, A, R, B, L, E, and the subscripts m and n have the meanings as described herein. In another aspect, the present invention provides for pharmaceutical compositions comprising compounds of Formula I as well as methods for using compounds of Formula I for the treatment of diseases and conditions (e.g., cancer, thrombocythemia, etc) characterized by the expression or over-expression of Bcl-2 anti-apoptotic proteins, e.g., of anti-apoptotic Bcl-xproteins.

Heterocyclic compounds and methods of use

The invention relates to compounds of general formula (I); in which R is an amino or guanidino group; Ris acetyl or trifluoroacetyl; and n is an integer from 10 to 18 or a pharmaceutically acceptable derivative thereof, methods for their preparation, pharmaceutical formulations containing them or their use in the prevention or treatment of a viral infection.
