An electric transmission line support structure. A crossarm depending perpendicularly from a vertical shaft has a first and a second mounting point. A central support depends from the crossarm between the first and the second mounting point. A first conductor bundle is attached to the first mounting point by a first structural string and to the central support by a second structural string. A second conductor bundle is connected to the central support by a third structural string and to the second mounting point by a fourth structural string. A fifth structural string, perpendicular to the crossarm and extending between the first conductor bundle and the second conductor bundle, connects the central mounting point to a third conductor bundle that is further from the crossarm than the first conductor bundle and the second conductor bundle. A sixth structural string connects the vertical shaft to the third conductor bundle.

An electric transmission line support structure. A first vertical shaft and a parallel second vertical shaft are connected by a crossarm. A first conductor attachment point is connected to the first vertical shaft at a first vertical shaft attachment by a first structural string. A second conductor attachment point is connected to the second vertical shaft at a second vertical shaft attachment point by a second structural string and to the first conductor attachment point by a third structural string. Transmission line post assembly

A current monitor for a transmission line having powered active components is provided. A current monitor includes: a housing configured to be coupled to a transmission line, an inductive current sensor in the housing configured to measure a value of the current on the transmission line to generate a sensor signal, a power source, and a sensor signal conversion circuit in the housing configured to receive power from the power source and to generate a current output signal based on the sensor signal, the current output signal having a natively useful form.

In an embodiment, a transmission line assembly includes a first V-string including a first post insulator and a second post insulator; a second V-string including a third post insulator and a fourth post insulator; and a suspension insulator, and a first yoke plate, a second yoke plate, and a third yoke plate are configured to respectively support a first phase conductor, a second phase conductor, and a third phase conductor to have an inverted triangular configuration.

A post insulator includes: an electrically insulative case including an abutment surface defining a recess; and a keeper rotatably coupled to the case between an open position in which a conductor is receivable into the recess, and a closed position to maintain the conductor in the recess.

A system and method for determining a reliability line rating for a transmission line is disclosed. In response to a line clearance measurement and a line temperature measurement received from a transmission line monitor coupled to a transmission line, the system generates a temperature-clearance model for the transmission line based on the received line clearance measurement and line temperature measurement. The system generates a plurality of past dynamic line ratings and determines a scaling factor based on the plurality of past dynamic line ratings. The system then generates a dynamic line rating for an interval of time in the future and scales the dynamic line rating in response to the scaling factor to obtain a reliability line rating for the interval.

A three-phase transmission line braced post assembly includes: a pair of first post insulators; a pair of suspension insulators; a first connector connecting one of the first post insulators to one of the first suspension insulators; a second connector connecting the other of the first post insulators to the other of the first suspension insulators; a second post insulator connected to the second connector; a second suspension insulator connected to the first connector; and a third connector connecting the second post insulator to the second suspension insulator, the first connector, the second connector, and the third connector being configured to respectively support a first conductor, a second conductor, and a third conductor to have a triangular configuration.
