A radiation detector assembly comprises a radiation scintillator detector for generating a light signal as a function of radiation detected. A light detector is operatively connectable with the radiation scintillator detector for receiving a light signal from the radiation scintillation detector and generating an electrical signal as a function of the light signal received. A housing for the light detector is electrically connectable with the light detector. At least one of the housing and the light detector is electrically connectable with a pole of a power supply whereby the housing and the light detector are at substantially the same electrical potential when electrically connected.

Radiation detector assembly

A radiation detector comprises a tool housing. The tool housing has a substantially cylindrical tubular shape. A radiation sensor generates a signal in response to detecting radiation. The radiation sensor is locatable within the tool housing. A signal processor is operably connectable with the radiation sensor. The signal processor receives the signal from the radiation sensor and generates an electrical signal as a function of the signal received. The signal processor is locatable within the tool housing. A flex-sleeve supports at least one of the radiation sensor and signal processor within the tool housing. The flex-sleeve comprises a substantially cylindrical portion and a coaxially extending polygonal portion for engagement and supportive interaction with the cylindrical portion.

Radiation detector

A radiation detector assembly is provided. The radiation detector assembly includes a radiation detector element and a light detection element operationally connected to the radiation detector element. The radiation detector element is seated within a housing. The assembly also includes a plurality of continuous wave formed springs located along the outer periphery of the radiation detector element, radially between the housing and the radiation detector element.

Ruggedized radiation detector

The gamma-radiation module includes a housing having a box-like container and a cover for hermetically sealing a pair of cylinders within the housing. Each cylinder includes scintillation material and a photomultiplier tube on a common cylindrical axis. The hermetically sealed module may be used singly or in multiple modules in portal applications whereby gamma-radiation from a source may be detected through a gamma-radiation transparent cover on the module.

A radiation detector includes a housing, a crystal and a photomultiplier tube supported in the housing. A plurality of elongated, flat plastic or ceramic springs are located radially between the crystal and photomultiplier tube and the housing, and at least one additional spring is located at one end of the crystal.

Ruggedized scintillation detector with low energy detection capabilities

A radiation detector includes a housing, an elongated, rectangular crystal having four longitudinally extending corners, and a photomultiplier tube both supported in the housing, with a light pipe located axially between respective facing ends of the photomultiplier tube and the crystal; and a plurality of elongated rails extending along respective ones of the longitudinally extending corners of the rectangular crystal, establishing an air gap between the crystal and the housing.
