A method in a communication system, a communication system and a communication device wherein in the method media streams are transmitted from a sending communication device to a receiving communication device at least partly via a wireless communication network. At least one media stream is selected to be transmitted to the receiving communication device. QoS requirements for transmitting the selected at least one media stream are defined, transmission resources are reserved from the wireless communication network for the transmission of at least one media stream, and a setup procedure is performed between the receiving communication device and the sending communication device for activating the one packet data transmission connection.

Method in a communication system, a communication system and a communication device

The present invention relates to a method for transmitting video information, in which a bitstream is formed comprising a set of frames comprising macroblocks. At least one switching frame is formed into the bitstream, macroblocks of the switching frame are arranged into a first and a second group of macroblocks, each macroblock of the first group of macroblocks are encoded by a first encoding method to provide a switching point for continuing the transmission of video information with another bitstream formed from the video information; and macroblocks of the second group of macroblocks are encoded by another encoding method. Errors in transmission of video information are reduced by forming at least one SP-encoded frame by predictively encoding the macroblocks; replacing part of the SP-encoded macroblocks with intra encoded blocks; and transmitting the encoded frame containing both predictively and intra encoded macroblocks instead of the SP-encoded frame.

Apparatus, and an associated method, for forming a UDP-Lite, or other, data packet with multiple, dynamically-selected, checksum-protected parts. Digitized data is provided to a formatter, and the formatter forms the data packet to include header fields identifying parts of the payload portion of the data packet that are checksum-protected with different checksums. Additional indicia is contained in the header part of the data packet to identify the checksum-type and the checksum-values associated with the separate parts of the data packet. Multiple, contiguous parts of the data packet are checksum-protected with selectable checksum-types, selected by a selector that operates to control operation of the formatter.

A system and method for converting compact multimedia format files to synchronized multimedia integration language while preserving media and timeline information. Media objects and timeline information are extracted from a compact multimedia format file. The media is saved to separate files, and each file may be split into multiple files if the file overlaps a loop boundary. A synchronized multimedia integration language is created from the timing information, including loops, and the media files.

Apparatus, and an associated method, for providing a radio link layer control procedure to maintain the sensitivity of UDP-Lite-formatted data at an RLP (Radio Link Protocol), or other, layer. An indicator generator generates an indication of the sensitivity-type of data that is formatted at the RLP layer. An RLP packet is generated, including the sensitivity data indicator value, and sent to a receiving station. When received thereat, the value of the sensitivity data indicator is utilized and subsequent actions, whether to permit retransmission of the data in the event of erroneous-, or non-, delivery is made.

A fluid dispensing system comprises a container in a generally rectilinear configuration with a plurality of fluid receiving zones are provided within the walls. At least one suction cup has a mounting portion coupled to the rear wall of the container and a suction portion to facilitate a holding suction force upon the pressing of the suction cup onto a flat surface. A top wall has side edges coupled to the top edges of the front, rear and side walls and with coupling regions above the fluid receiving zones. A plurality of container caps with internal female coupling regions allow the cap to be removably received and held-on the container. Cap links have a first end coupled to the caps and a second end coupled to the container.

Fluid dispensing system

A pet chew toy is generally bone-shaped having an elongated body member with a bulbous knob at each end. The body member has a hollow cavity along its axis and an opening at one end. A screw rod is positioned along an axis of the body member and is affixed to the one knob located at the end opposite the cavity opening. A hard chewable food product which has a non-circular cross-section that corresponds to the shape of the cavity is threaded onto the screw rod. An internal bore within the food product includes internal threads which are compatible with the threads of the screw rod. The chew product may also be of a soft enough material that it is self-threading, that is to say that, the screw rod creates thread in a smooth internal bore of the food product when it is initial introduced into the body member. When the two opposing knobs are rotated with respect to each other the screw rod is turned. Because the chew product is prevented from turning along with the screw rod, this rotation of the screw rod advances or draws-in the formed chew product which projects from an opening in one end of the body member as desired by the pet owner.

Pet chew with dispensable food product

A self-contained, light-weight, programmable data-acquisition system is constructed largely from readily available personal computer (PC) subassemblies. It operates as a paperless recorder and event recorder, storing data from a plurality of analog inputs to a fixed disk for later retrieval by a PC. It also operates as a PC peripheral device permitting real-time viewing and analysis, as well as recording, of a plurality of analog inputs. As an event recorder it can store a fixed amount of data preceding the triggering event, which can be in the form of either a contact closure or the value of an analog input exceeding a preset minimum or maximum value. Configuration is performed at the PC and subsequently downloaded to the recorder where it is stored in non-volatile memory. Converted and recorded data display at the host PC is both graphical and numerical form. Channel data displayed at the host PC is uniquely identified in that each channel's data is uniquely colored.

Light weight, self-contained programmable data-acquisition system

A portable container that holds shampoo, hair conditioner and a bar of soap. The container includes three subcompartments, each of which is dedicated to the containment of a particular toiletry item. In a first embodiment, the lid of the container is hollow and is subdivided into compartments for shampoo and hair conditioner and the lid is hingedly connected to the base of the container within which a bar of soap is contained. In a second embodiment, the soap compartment holds the soap on end and the shampoo and hair conditioner are maintained in separate compartments that surmount one end of the soap dish. The containers of both embodiments are provided with an elongate looped rope so that the container may be draped around the neck of a user.
