A security device for locking a merchandise display rod to a support structure. The device includes a housing slidably received on the display rod and including a locking mechanism movable between a locked and an unlocked position. The housing defines a recess extending inwardly from an exterior surface thereof and perpendicularly to the linear motion of a locking member in the locking mechanism. A complementary shaped dipole magnet of a magnetic key is inserted into the recess to move the locking mechanism to the unlocked position. The security device further includes an adjustment member on a rear surface thereof. The adjustment member is engaged to compensate for different thicknesses of the support structure to which the security device is to be attached.

A securable system for displaying items of merchandise on a display board. The display system includes a lockable end assembly that engages the free end of at least one rod of a merchandise display therein. The end assembly is slidable along the rod between an unlocked position where items of merchandise may be removed therefrom and a locked position where items of merchandise cannot be removed therefrom. The end assembly is lockingly engaged with the rod by a locking mechanism that is linearly moveable within an interior chamber of the end assembly. The end assembly is provided with a specially shaped recess in its outer wall which is positioned perpendicular to the linear motion of the locking mechanism. A complementary dipole magnet key is inserted into the recess to unlock the locking mechanism.

Display hook assembly having a secure free end

A theft-deterrent device includes first and second members mountable on a pair of sliding doors for activating an alarm when the doors are opened, and is particularly useful with a display cabinet containing items of merchandise and having transparent sliding doors. The alarm may be mounted on the cabinet with a tether connecting the alarm and one of the first and second members. Preferably, a magnet and a magnetically activated switch are carried by the first and second members so that when the magnet moves away from the switch, an electrical circuit opens to activate the alarm. The first member is connected to one door with a portion adjacent one side of the door and a portion extending around the end of the door. The second member is connected to the other door and is preferably a thin member which fits between the doors when opened.

A merchandise display hook for mounting on a display structure includes a one-piece elongated U-shaped rigid member having a pair of spaced parallel rods and a connecting base. A sleeve is secured to the base and telescopically receives a shaft therethrough forming a pivot. A pair of lugs are fixed to outer ends of the shaft and have L-shaped ends which extend through openings in the display structure. Downward movement of the base along the support structure while the rods remain in a horizontal position pivotally move the lugs through and behind the support structure to a securely mounted position on the support structure eliminating the need for any upward angled movement of the display hook to install the hook, enabling the hook to be installed in a confined area.

Merchandise display hook

A lock mechanism is mounted on a pair of vertically spaced merchandise display rods to prevent removal of items of merchandise supported on the lower rod. The lock mechanism includes a housing having a internal lock chamber and a pair of upper and lower slots, each receiving one of the rods therethrough. The lower slot has a side opening enabling the lower rod to pass out of the housing when the housing is pivotally moved on the upper rod to an unlocked open position. A bayonet is slidably moveable in the chamber of the housing and has an elongated slot through which both of the rods extend. A locking device has a magnetically attractable locking tine which locks the housing and bayonet in a closed locked position on the pair of rods. A magnetic key moves the tine to an unlocked position enabling the housing and bayonet to move to an unlocked open position exposing the side opening of the housing lower slot for removing the housing out of engagement with the lower rod.

Lock mechanism for display rod

A dispenser for items of merchandise is formed as a wire rack having an entrance opening for placing the items into the dispenser and a discharge opening for removal of the items from the dispenser by a customer. A pivotally moveable gate located adjacent the discharge opening permits removal of the items one at a time, with a time delay being required between the removal of each of the items to retard shoplifting. The gate also produces an audible sound when moving toward the open position to further reduce possible shoplifting.

A one-piece molded plastic vehicular enclosure for children is disclosed. The vehicular enclosure, which can either be a car or truck configuration, has a length substantially greater than its width and height. The enclosure includes opposing top and bottom surfaces and opposing side surfaces inner connecting the top and bottom surfaces. The enclosure further includes opposing front and rear surfaces extending between the top and bottom surfaces and side surfaces. The rear surface includes a rear entry opening for ingress and egress of children into and out of the enclosure. The rear entry opening is defined by a cylindrical extension projecting from the rear surface. The rear entry opening has a height and width substantially equal to the distance between the top and bottom surfaces to facilitate ingress and egress into the enclosure by children. Preferably, the rear entry opening is sufficiently large to permit two children to pass one another during ingress and egress relative to the enclosure.

A modular spiral staircase within a surrounding enclosure for indoor playground equipment is disclosed. The modular spiral staircase includes individual stair treads arranged in a spiral pattern within the surrounding enclosure. The individual stair treads are vertically connected to one another and are circumferentially connected to the surrounding enclosure. Preferably, arcuate tread segments each having a plurality of integrally connected individual stair treads are provided. The individual stair treads are laterally offset from each other and are circumferentially arranged in a spiral pattern about an associated supporting central post. The surrounding enclosure includes enlarged spaced lower and upper openings that are aligned with the modular spiral staircase to facilitate entry and exit of a user.

A modular/convertible toddler climb unit is disclosed. This unit can be used independently in a variety of different ways as well as combined with other units to form a dynamic and physical skill development structure for children. The unit includes a base with adjacent steps and a slide formed on an upper sloping surface. Upper fixed side fences are provided on opposite sides of the adjacent steps and slide with upstanding mountable side fences cooperating with at least one of the upstanding fixed side fences in order to serve as boundary around at least part of an upper generally horizontally directed upper surface of the base. The mountable side fences can be positioned on the base in a number of different ways as well as the generally horizontally directed upper surface of two adjacent bases for cooperative interaction between such adjacent bases. Other play units can be associated with the toddler climb and slide unit to provide various play experiences for children.
