A footwell assembly for a vehicle is disposed herein. The footwell assembly includes at least one foot pedal disposed in the footwell and operable between a use position and a stowed position. A receiving member is positioned within the footwell and is defining a recess, wherein the at least one foot pedal is configured to nest within the recess while in the stowed position. A cover feature is operably coupled to the receiving member and is configured to cover the at least one foot pedal when the at least one foot pedal is nested within the recess of the receiving member in the stowed position.

A method of managing water entering through a hood vent includes steps of: collecting the water in a water collection tray of the hood vent, delivering the water, through a first water drain of the hood vent, to a water channel of a hood insulator and discharging the water from a second water drain in the hood insulator.

An engine air induction system includes an air box and a hood insulator. The air box has an open top and a perimeter seal extending continuously around the open top. The hood insulator has a body including an air box closeout feature providing a continuous interface with the perimeter seal when a hood assembly incorporating the hood insulator is in a closed position. A vehicle includes a metallic floor pan. A plurality of trim components defining a foot well is proximate the floor pan. A flooring component is coupled with the floor pan which includes a polymeric structural layer. An insulation layer is positioned on the structural layer. A sealing layer is coupled with the floor pan and extends to seal the insulation layer against the structural layer.

A hood assembly includes a hood body and a hood vent water management system. The hood vent water management system includes a hood vent having a mounting bracket including a water collection tray and a first water drain and a hood insulator including a water channel and a second water drain. The hood vent water management system diverts water entering through the hood vent away from an underlying engine compartment component. A related method is also disclosed.

A footrest assembly includes a body portion having an upper contact surface adapted to support a vehicle occupant's foot at a predetermined angle. The footrest assembly includes mounting members adapted to couple the footrest assembly to a base unit disposed on a vehicle floorboard. The footrest assembly includes a depression or recess adapted to receive a parking brake pedal when the parking brake is in a fully actuated position. Thus, the footrest assembly is configured to provide a footrest option in a vehicle interior that would otherwise not have the space requirements to accommodate a footrest, while also allowing for full functionality of a parking brake pedal.

A cowl trim assembly includes a panel body having front and side panel portions with anchor mechanism adapted to couple the trim assembly to a vehicle frame, and more specifically, to a vehicle door sill frame. A footrest assembly extends outwardly from the panel body having one or more reinforcement members disposed on an underside of the footrest assembly which are adapted to support the footrest assembly on a vehicle floor. In this configuration the footrest assembly is an integrated part of the cowl trim assembly, thereby providing a one-piece trim component having a self supporting footrest assembly, wherein the reinforcement members are adapted to carry loads applied to the footrest assembly by a vehicle occupant to the vehicle frame.

A vehicle package tray having a horizontal member extending across a back portion of a vehicle. A tray cover is operably coupled with and slidable relative to the horizontal member. The tray cover includes a rear substrate that extends over the horizontal member. A front substrate is slidably engaged with the rear substrate and adapted for abutment with a seat back. A spring-biased member is disposed between the horizontal member and the front substrate.
