The present application discloses a system and device for displaying content. The system includes an optical unit that is wearable. The optical unit includes a magnifying lens, a front light, and a display. The front light illuminates the display from the front of the display to be observable by a user via the magnifying lens.

The present application discloses a system and device for displaying content. The system includes two optical units. The two optical units are part of the system that is wearable. Each of the two optical units comprises a front lit display. The system includes an adjustable mounting. The adjustable mounting enables a user to adjust a mounting position of the two optical units.

Adjustable optical units for a wearable e-reader

A system for controlling airflow in a plenum, that comprises a worm gear and planetary gear that are removably coupled to a worm shaft and planetary shaft, respectively. The planetary shaft controls the movement of a damper between an open position permitting maximum airflow through the plenum, and a closed position restricting airflow through the plenum. A motor or gear-motor is positioned at the plenum for driving the worm shaft. The motor is controlled by a remotely located controller that includes a power supply for operating the motor and that has a display providing a continuous indication of the position of the damper between the open and closed positions. The controller is connected to the motor through a cable with a detachable electrical connection between the cable and the controller, such as a jack and plug. A wall plate for housing the electrical connection is mounted on a wall or other structure. The wall plate has a first plate for housing the jack and a second plate with a flexible flange for removably securing the jack in the housing by snap fit insertion.

A protective case for housing a mobile device is provided. The case comprises a shell assembly including a top shell and a bottom shell that at least partially enclose and form a perimeter around the device. The case further includes a backing assembly comprising an upper backing element and a lower backing element configured to join together along a parting line between a top end and a bottom end of the shell assembly. The case also includes a lock assembly for use in drawing together the upper and lower backing elements to hold the components of the shell assembly together.

A protective case for housing a mobile device is provided. The protective case comprises a top shell that seals against a top surface of a device and a bottom shell that cradles the bottom of the device. The top shell provides a downward extension along its perimeter that fits within a trench or pocket formed around at least a portion of the perimeter of the bottom shell. An underside of the top shell includes a permanently chemically bonded compressible and waterproof film layer. The waterproof film layer is configured to seal directly against the top surface of the mobile device.

A door securement system for a protective case for housing a mobile device is provided. The protective case comprises a top shell that covers a top surface of a device and a bottom shell that cradles the back of the device. Where upper and lower backing elements are used that meet at a parting line along the outer (exterior) surface of the bottom shell, a locking mechanism may be used to pull the backing elements together and hold them in place. A multi-hinged door is positioned along a portion of the protective case to allow access to ports of the mobile device. The door has open, shut and sealed configurations.

A protective case for housing a mobile device is provided. The protective case comprises a top shell that seals against a top surface of a device and a bottom shell that cradles the back of the device. The top shell provides a downward extension along its perimeter that fits within a pocket formed around at least a portion of the perimeter of the bottom shell. At least the top shell forms an outward extending protrusion that is gripped by one or more backing elements that slide over the exterior of the bottom shell and extend up around the protrusion to grip the top shell and secure it to the bottom shell. Where upper and lower backing elements are used that meet at a parting line along the outer (exterior) surface of the bottom shell, a locking mechanism may be used to pull the backing elements together and hold them in place.

Mobile device case

A tool for aiding marking or cutting is described. A V-shaped member having an edge formed at an exterior apex of the V for guiding a marker or cutting tool. The exterior surfaces of the V-shaped member may have a material applied having a higher coefficient of friction than that of the V-shaped member. The edge at the apex of the V may have two substantially planar surfaces, each of which forms a complimentary angle with the interior apex angle of the V, or a thin metal portion formed in the exterior apex of the V so that an edge thereof protrudes sloping towards a surface on which the tool is laid. A graduated scale may be applied to an exterior surface of the tool at a location near the apex.

An apparatus and method of automatically shuffling a deck of playing cards is described. The apparatus includes three compartments disposed laterally with respect to each other and at least one compartment movable vertically with respect to another other compartment. Cards placed in one of the compartments are dispensed into the other two compartments so as to cut or strip the deck, and are returned to the original compartment by interleaving cards from the other compartments. The process may be repeated to substantially randomize the deck for use in playing a game of cards. One of the compartments may be operable, either manually or by motive means so as to project outside the envelope of the apparatus so as to accept or dispense a deck of cards.

Apparatus and method for automatically shuffling cards

A water cooler caddy device for use in conjunction with a water cooler or other beverage dispenser. The water cooler caddy has an arcuate inner surface as an interface with the water bottle and is sized such that it may be placed over the water bottle and slid down so that it either rests on an upper surface of the water cooler, or is supported by the side of the water bottle. The water cooler caddy may have a gap in the circumference so that the radius of the inner surface may be temporarily increased to facilitate installation. Partitions are used to form compartments to contain service items.

A bracket for mounting a cable to a surface is presented. The bracket restricts lateral and longitudinal movement of a cable while enabling rotational movement. The bracket may be mounted to a first surface so that the cable may be inserted into a second surface. The bracket generally includes a mounting portion, first and second flanges, and an arm. To reduce longitudinal movement of the cable, the cable is inserted through the first flange and fixedly coupled to a ferrule, which is coupled between the second flange and the notch of the arm. To restrict lateral movement of the cable, a first flange includes a tab that when in a raised position, enables the cable to be inserted through the first flange. After which, the tab is lowered to reduce the size of the aperture. The bracket may also include a cap that is fixedly removable from the cable.
