A process for producing light olefins comprising thermal cracking. Hydrocracked streams are thermally cracked in a steam cracker to produce light olefins. A pyrolysis gas stream is separated into a light stream and a heavy stream. A light stream is separated into an aromatic naphtha stream and a non-aromatic naphtha stream. The aromatics can be saturated and thermally cracked. The integrated process may be employed to obtain olefin products of high value from a crude stream.

Integrated process for the conversion of crude to olefins

A process for producing light olefins comprising thermal cracking. Hydrocracked streams are thermally cracked to produce light olefins. A pyrolysis gas stream is separated into a light pyrolysis gas stream and a heavy pyrolysis gas stream. A light pyrolysis gas stream is separated into a normal paraffins stream and a non-normal paraffins stream. A normal paraffins stream is thermally cracked. The integrated process may be employed to obtain olefin products of high value from a crude stream.

A process for reducing pressure of a vapor stream used for reducing a temperature or pressure in a reactor. A pressure of a vapor stream is reduced with a turbine to provide a lower pressure vapor stream. The vapor stream rotates a turbine wheel within the turbine. The turbine wheel is configured to transmit rotational movement to an electrical generator. Thus, electricity is generated with the turbine. The lower pressure vapor stream is injected into a reactor and reduces a temperature in the reactor or reduces a partial pressure of a hydrocarbon vapor in the reactor.

Power recovery from quench and dilution vapor streams

A slurry separator comprising a moving blade that wipes slurry oil onto a wall of the slurry separator for separating a recovered oil stream from a concentrated residue stream has the capability of maximizing recovery of the LCO from slurry oil as well as removing both the catalyst fines as well as coke particles suspended in the slurry oil. The slurry separator can be fed directly from the main column bottoms. Advantageously, the process and apparatus can enable the FCC unit to achieve higher production of LCO and higher value clarified slurry oil more efficiently.

The Colefins have a higher octane number than the Csaturated hydrocarbons, and the branched olefins have a higher octane number than the normal olefins. The Colefins can be blended in a gasoline pool. Cand Chydrocarbons can be isomerized and dehydrogenated as well, separately or with the Ccomponents.

One exemplary embodiment can be a fluid catalytic cracking process. The process can include a reaction zone operating at conditions to facilitate olefin production and including at least one riser. The at least one riser can receive a first feed having a boiling point of about 180&#xb0; to about 800&#xb0; C., and a second feed having more than about 70%, by weight, of one or more Colefins.
